My wife and I had been driving a 2012 Nissan Sentra for the last year or so. We have recently decided that we were going to expand our family and there was no way that we were going to be able to do so in the last year or so. We spent months looking at every dealership in the area and we were not able to find anyone who was willing to work with us. Our situation wasnt the easies to work with as we had a new car that we didnt want to lose a lot of money trading in, and we had not the best of credit with a recent bankruptcy from our 2nd daughters hospital bills. I was just about to give up when I sent an email to Honda as one last try. I received an email and a phone call from Ryan and I explained our situation and he assured me that they would be able to help us out. I explained to Ryan what I was looking for and scheduled a visit. Ryan was a great salesman and answered all my questions about all the different vehicles I wanted as I changed my mind several times during my visit. Ultimately Ryan and the rest of the Honda staff that I dealt with were very nice and respectful of my time and what I was looking for. My wife and I are so extremely happy with the vehicle that we purchased after a long day of changing our minds. We bought a new CR-V and it meets all of our expectations. I will with out a doubt be a returning customer and I will send anyone I know whos looking for a care new or used over to that dealership. More
I was shopping with my 17 year old son for his first car. We had been to Toyota, Dodge and Ford prior to visiting our local Honda store. Toyota wasn't all that excited about letting my son test drive one o We had been to Toyota, Dodge and Ford prior to visiting our local Honda store. Toyota wasn't all that excited about letting my son test drive one of their cars, Dodge was very pushy, but did let him drive a few vehicles, Ford was very friendly and was our leading choice prior to stopping at Gainesville Honda. We were met by Dean Leed who was about as friendly and personable as you could want in a customer service employee. I explained what we were looking for and that it was my son's first car and he did everything imagineable to make my son feel comfortable. He asked him what was important to him in his first car? We wanted hands free phone, back up camera, leather interior, good gas mileage, excellent radio and sound system. He recommended the Honda CR-V. He explained that it was one of the top rated SUVs in safety and was the number three overall resale value of any car on the market no matter what brand. I later checked these claims online and found them to be true. Prior to letting my son drive the car he explained all the controls in very easy going, genuine style, not like he didn't know what was going on, but making sure he understood all the features on the vehicle. Having purchased quite a few vehicles in my time I was impressed with his demeanor and how comfortable he made my son feel. He was very encouraging when my son was test driving and even had him back into a parking space to demonstrate how effective the back up camera was. All the while making him feel like he was doing a great job driving. My son still liked some features on the Ford escape and we went back to compare, as well as negotiate price. After listening to the Ford offer, they included leather at the same price as the Honda CR-V without I called Dean to let him know where I was and he said let me get back to you in a few minutes. He called back and told me they would have the leather installed in the vehicle we test drove completing all of my and my son's list and would do it at $15 month less than Ford. My son was still leaning a little towards the Ford, but I liked the resale and safety record of the Honda as well as they way Dean handled everything. We decided to purchase the Honda and Dean has taken the time to call me on a few occassions to see how everything was going, told me to see him personally if we ever needed anything and has always been gracious with any questions or needs that we have had. They also gave us unlimited car washes for our first year, just drive in and get the wash without any appointment. In closing I would highle recommend Dean and Honda of Gainesville, my whole experience was very positive and restore my faith in car salesmen, after being high pressured in other dealerships it was refreshing to be given the kind of service I was, especially when making my son feel like he was a valued customer. One of the things I wanted my son to see when shopping for a car was the different options and negotiations that would be available during the process and Dean made if very clear there is a difference in whom you deal with. We recieved honest advise and excellent customer service by our sales representative. Mr. Leed's professionalism provided a comfortable, calm and friendly environment to shop for a vehicle. Since he had assisted us with a prior purchase in 2000 we had a level or repor already established. Our finance specialist helped us understand the probably cause for why another Honda dealership (Ocala) "sold" a vehicle out from under our feet the day before. That vehicle, which was advertised on-line was most likely listed below a certain threshhold and therefore the dealer could not close without a lost on the transaction. More
Matt showed me a bunch of cars the first time I came. I didnt really like any of them. I told him id keep looking around. But he gave me his card, and i gave him my number in case anything came in. There was no pressure. That made him a good salesman in my mind. He sent me a text every once in a while when a new car came in. He knew I was busy working at the hospital and I didnt really have time to come in. He followed up with my questions about the car and even sent links to carfax reports. That made him a great salesman. When I finally decided on a car, he worked with me on the price. He drove to my place to pick up my old car. Heck he offered to buy me dinner since I had been at the dealership for a longer time then I expected. That made him the guy who just sold me my new car. More
