Horrible customer service. I had to fight with everyone in the store to get my car fixed, even if it was under warranty. They will treat you like crap. DON"T GO TO TIPTON HONDA! I got a used 2007 Honda Fit in the store to get my car fixed, even if it was under warranty. They will treat you like crap. DON"T GO TO TIPTON HONDA! I got a used 2007 Honda Fit from them. I looked at the carfax review and the car was bought at auction, meaning it was either a rental or a repo car. First off, we were paying cash, and we wanted to see if we could get an extended warranty, they would not have it. Also we wanted an extra key made, they were going to charge over $100 for a new key. THey were incredibly rude, but the car was in good condition and had very little mileage, so we went ahead. Well the next day i find out that the cigarrete lighter didn't work, and the overhead light wasn't working either. Well yesterday i was driving to work and noticed that the ceiling light was hanging by it's cord. So I took off early came to dealership, and waited for TWO hours to find out that the previous owner tampered with the wiring and the lights and that it was not covered under warranty. I was not going to pay for something that I didn't do, so they decided to fix the car but I would either have to leave the car over night or come back the next day. Couldn't do that because I have to work. SO i asked to talk to a manager. 15 minutes later they told me they fixed my car. Great! But know i want to know if the previous owner tampered with anything else, so i wanted all the fluids drained and flushed. They would not have that. In fact I had to talk to three different sales managers, and the head manager, and just ended up getting yelled at, accused of destorying my own car, and threated to be thrown out of the lot. THe guy also yelled at my father over the phone and hung up on him. Please, read all the reviews. I did and just pushed them off to the side. Don't do what I did. Don't go to Tipton. More
We took our Accord in for an inspection service and oil change. Even though our inspection sheet listed that everything was fine with the car, we had two high-beam headlight bulbs that were burned out. We change. Even though our inspection sheet listed that everything was fine with the car, we had two high-beam headlight bulbs that were burned out. We weren't given a reason as to why the technician didn't catch the two burned out bulbs during the inspection. What else did they miss? One day after having the inspection, our radiator suddenly started spewing coolant. We took the car BACK to Tipton and was told we had a crack in the radiator. Very odd that this happened immediately after service. I have absolutely no trust in their service department and would not recommend them at all. More
Unbelievable. I leased my 2004 Civic from Tipton without too many problems. When my lease was up I went to Tipton to try to lease a new Civic for more options. Not only did they try to rip us off by offer too many problems. When my lease was up I went to Tipton to try to lease a new Civic for more options. Not only did they try to rip us off by offering a $448 lease on a middle of the road Civic (i got them down to $50 above what is should have cost), they also wouldn't honor the buy back value of my previously leased car. As a matter of fact, they tried to accuse me of trying to rip them off. I ended up buying my leased civic from tipton that day because the dealer said I had the option of finding my own financing after I signed the papers. I know now that that was not true. It turns out they begged us to buy from them because wanted to tack on $1000 to the lease amount for no reason other than to pad their earnings. Their comment about finding other financing meant we were able to give them a check from a bank to buy the car for their price, and not to buy the car from Honda Financial which would have been $1000 less. I'm sure they knew we wouldn't take a better look at the lease papers because we were trying to deal with a crying baby while going through this ordeal. Don't waste your time with Tipton, their bussiness practices border on criminal. More
Once you sign the purchase contract and write your check, the salesman will forget about you. The day after I bought my car, the car didn't start and the backdoor wouldn't lock. I dropped the car off the nex the salesman will forget about you. The day after I bought my car, the car didn't start and the backdoor wouldn't lock. I dropped the car off the next day (Saturda) and called on Wednesday to ask what they checked out on the car in re: to it not starting. She said that they didn't check anything. She said they kept it over night to see if it started the next morning and it did. So they didn't check anything. I said- the car didn't start and I want everything that can prevent a car from not starting, checked out. Then she puts me on the phone with the service guy. When she told me that she doesn't know if they'll have time to look at it today, I told them both that was the reason I brought the car in on Saturday (4 days ago) was to have it checked out, not just to sit there in their garage. I have really hated dealing with all the people that I've dealt with so far that work there. Their customer service is non-existent. I've haven't heard an apology yet. More
