Unacceptable Service & Deceptive Practices at Honda of Chantilly I purchased a Honda Accord Sport from Honda of Chantilly at the end of last year. A few weeks later, my blind spot monitoring system fai Chantilly I purchased a Honda Accord Sport from Honda of Chantilly at the end of last year. A few weeks later, my blind spot monitoring system failed, and my salesperson assured me it would be covered under warranty. Unacceptable Service Experience 1️⃣ Misleading Information & Lack of Transparency I arrived at the service department expecting a warranty-covered repair, as my salesperson indicated. The service advisor had me sign a diagnostic test form without mentioning a $200 fee if the issue wasn’t covered. At no point was this charge disclosed upfront. 2️⃣ Unreasonable Wait & Poor Communication I waited 6 hours at the dealership with no clear updates. Only after this long wait was I told the issue wasn’t covered and I would have to pay for repairs. 3️⃣ Refusal to Release My Car & Emotional Distress I decided to file an insurance claim instead of paying out-of-pocket. Despite this, they demanded $200 for the diagnostic test. After arguing, they lowered it to $140, but I still refused to pay for a misleading charge. The manager was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, treating me like I was at fault. 4️⃣ Holding My Car Until I Filed an Insurance Claim They refused to release my car until I completed the insurance claim. I repeatedly explained I was feeling unwell and needed to go home. Eventually, they offered another vehicle to take me home, but the experience was already mentally exhausting. Deceptive Sales Practices – Canceling My Service & Tire Packages When I bought my car, they upsold me a service & tire package, claiming it would be useful. When I needed it, they said it does not cover my issue. These add-on packages are a scam, designed to take extra money from customers. I will be canceling both packages immediately. Who Is Responsible? This is a systemic issue at Honda of Chantilly & Pohanka Automotive Group. The dealership’s management promotes misleading tactics, lack of transparency, and disrespectful treatment. Next Steps ✅ I will file an insurance claim to resolve my car’s issue. ✅ I will escalate my complaint to Honda Corporate. ✅ I will never return to Honda of Chantilly and will warn others against them. Final Thoughts ❌ Worst dealership experience ever. ❌ Lack of honesty, excessive wait times, and unfair charges. ❌ They held my car hostage until I filed an insurance claim. ❌ I regret buying from them & will escalate to the Better Business Bureau (BBB). ⚠️ If you plan to visit this dealership, BEWARE. Get everything in writing, and don’t trust their word. More

The management at Honda Chantilly has been extremely disappointing, particularly Shatabh and Borna, who exhibited unprofessional behavior. When I traded in my old car, they gave me temporary plates, but disappointing, particularly Shatabh and Borna, who exhibited unprofessional behavior. Now they’re telling me the plates are unavailable, forcing me to go to the DMV, which cost me both time and money. This has been the most frustrating and unsatisfactory service experience ever. More
TL;DR: THEY STOLE THE CAR I SOLD THEM! !!! I sold my old car to this dealership on September 23 and gave them the title that same day. The paperwork I signed said I would get my check wi !!! The paperwork I signed said I would get my check within 48-72 hours, but it has now been 15 business days, and I still haven’t received it. I called multiple times over the past two weeks to ask about the check, but I’ve had a hard time getting any clear answers. Several employees said they would call me back, but they never did. When I called again today, I was told that the sales team hasn’t even sent my paperwork to accounting yet, and I’d need to wait another week. By that time, it will have been 20 business days, which is way longer than the promised 72 hours. Now when the phone rings to the sales department, it is unanswered, and I am instead redirected to service every time, so it's obvious that they are avoiding me. What makes it worse is that the dealership already has my old car listed for sale on their website, but I’m still waiting to get paid. I understand things can get busy, but this is not the level of service I expected from such a big, well-known dealership. If they had just communicated better and followed through on their promises, this experience could have been a lot smoother. I really hope they fix their process because this situation has caused me a lot of stress. If you’re thinking about selling your car here, be careful!!! . I’m still waiting for my check, but if I don’t get it soon, I’ll have to escalate this to corporate, spread this to all of my social media followers, and lawyer up. More
