We have owned/leased all makes and models of cars and do not necessarily have brand loyalty. We have owned several Pontiacs and Toyotas, but have also owned Nissans, Volkswagen and Mazdas, several purchased not necessarily have brand loyalty. We have owned several Pontiacs and Toyotas, but have also owned Nissans, Volkswagen and Mazdas, several purchased at other dealerships in Louisville. In all our experiences at every dealership - which have been many because we have lived in several states due to work - we have never had as good as an experience as we had at Sam Swope Honda (we purchased 2 cars) - we were treated with respect and all of our questions were addressed in a friendly and courteous manner. Our salesperson Lewis Ray was exceptional - we have never had a more personable car salesperson - he was totally interested in what we wanted and not in what he wanted to sell us - and Doug R. his salesmanger was also incredible, they were really interested in getting us what we wanted. We would have no hesitation referring this dealership and salesstaff (and we have)to everyone we know and will continue doing business there as long as we can. The customer service is truly exceptional! More
Just bought a new 2011 Honda Insight from Jim Hubert today. We went in to look at/drive a couple different Honda cars. We called Jim a day in advance and arranged a time to meet him. (Love it!) He had keys ready for the cars we wanted to look at. He patiently waited as we strapped our child's car seat into one of the cars, and let us drive the car under the circumstances that we would drive the car in our lives (highway entrances, city streets, etc. while loaded with the family.) It was all good. We were planning to only look today (isn't that everyone's story?), and ended up leaving with a new car. The negotiations on the price were quick, upfront and not painful. We had a few specific instructions on how we wanted the car prepped and the car cleaning crew took care of us. Truly, it was an awesome car buying experience. That is saying a lot. Two thumbs up to Jim Hubert and the entire Sam Swope Honda World crew! (Oh, yes, they were also awesome to do business with having two kiddos in tow. Nice TV area with appropriate childrens movies, bean bags, etc.! Loved it!) More
The customer service is outstanding. I like the fact that they offer a free car wash. I also noticed you have Ladies Day on Sundays with free manicures, which I would like to try out sometime. When my husband and I first got to Sam Swope, we were greeted by Kasey. We told him that we were looking for a Honda Civic EX package. He showed us several and then we test drove one. He rode with us greeted by Kasey. We told him that we were looking for a Honda Civic EX package. He showed us several and then we test drove one. He rode with us ( I was glad, because we are not from L-ville). We both test drove the car and after sitting in the back of the car, my husband and I both knew that this was not the car for us. Our heads touched the ceiling of the car. Kasey showed us several cars and they just weren't what we were looking for. My husband and I decided that it was back to the drawing board for us and we would have to rethink our car needs. In the meantime, Kasey introduced us to Doug (sales manager, I think). He asked us if we had ever thought about an Accord. We had looked at few of them, but thought they were out of our price range. Doug showed us some figures and asked Kasey to bring around a LX Accord. It was the color that we both liked. We both sat in the back seat before even driving it. We looked at each other and we both liked it immediately. Kasey took us for a test drive and we knew that we both loved it. Doug worked with the finance people to get a price that we liked and then we bought a new 2011 Accord LX. My husband and I were so impressed with Kasey. He was so patient with us because we had him running all over the place trying to help us. When getting to finance, Mr. Brim was nice as well. We were very pleased about our experience with Sam Swope and have already told several people that if they need a vehicle that they need to take the trip to Sam Swope. If they need a Honda, they need to see Kasey. Thank you for wonderful car buying experience. We will be return customers when the need arises. More
In March,I went to Sam Swope Honda in Louisville, Kentucky because my lease was ending on my Honda Civic and I had a wonderful experience. The salesman David Walker was very knowledgable and kind, he even remembered helping me back in October. We had great conversation and lots of laughs. The business manager Ryan Carter was also very nice and he also remember speaking to me back in October. I was very impressed by the fact that not only did they remember me but, they both remembered my story. I have always love dealing with Honda and their many services. As long as Honda keeps treating me so well, I will never drive another brand. Two thumbs up to Sam Swope Honda! More
Friendliness is a "4" and not a "5" because Mr. Dutton's greetings seemed more perfunctory than genuine. Also, while his tone of voice seemed even and calm, his demeanor did not seem to indicate our importance to him as potential customers. In other words, we did not feel particularly valued. Granted, he was persistent without being pushy, which was respectful and positive. However, if the salesperson from another dealership trying to earn the business of my spouse and me had happened to have the vehicle we desired on the lot, given closeness in price, we would probably have chosen to buy from that person instead. Perhaps, our perception of Mr. Dutton's friendliness could be attributed to generational difference. My spouse and I are between the Gen X and Millennial generation. Mr. Dutton seems to be a late Baby Boomer or early Gen X. Anyway, he was a nice person The other factors were excellent and deserved a "5." More
This was my first time to visit this Honda service center and I had an excellent experience. Service advisor was friendly and explained everything that was done to my car. My experience with Lamont was fantastic because he went out of his way to make us feel welcome; he truly created an envionment where we felt like he was working with us instead of against us. Too frequently car dealerships leave me feeling like I got a raw deal. My experience with Lamont and Sam Swope left me with the impression that I was receiving not only a fair deal but also that rare moment of actually ENJOYING my car purchase experience. I wouldn't hesittate to recommend Lamont to my friends and family...he really was a joy to work with. More

Express Service is reliable and user-friendly. I love that Honda has an indicator to tell me exactly what to service and when, and the service representatives know exactly what that is.
