Thinking about my past experiences with car buying, I was definitely not looking forward to going through the process again. I knew that I wanted a Honda, but I was dreading the hassle of dealing with a pushy sales person so I had not even thought much about what type of Honda. I am so thrilled that I made an appointment with Lewis Ray to chat about what kind of car would work to replace my nearly 15 year old van. He was informative and most importantly NOT pushy. He was patient and personable...and even funny...which helped to lower some of my anxiety with this process. We test drove a very nice Civic, an excellent Accord with low, low miles (2010 with 14k miles), and a 2009 Honda Element on a Friday night. I did not make a purchase that night, because of course I had to go home and do some research on the pricing. I was blown away by the internet based pricing. Truthfully, I was concerned that my choice, the Honda Element, would be gone before I could get back there the next day. I called Mr. Ray on Saturday morning, bright and early and told him my choice and made an appt. to come in and start the car buying process. We worked with several members of the Swope team, including David Lail (this guy is AMAZING at financing!) and Rick Lewis (a former Army Ranger who is the KING of details and he has a KILLER computer...trust me, you just have to see it!). Also, when we needed to upgrade our insurance, nothing could be simpler, as Swope has a Allstate rep onsite--easy peasy. I would like to thank Lewis Ray for his time and patience--he was warm and genuine and a pleasure to do business with. Sam Swope has all of our business going forward, period! By early Saturday afternoon, we were driving our Honda Element off of the lot and feeling spectacular about our purchase. A-Z, Honda had it covered, selection, price, finance rate, and I could go on and on about all of the spectacular add-on's you get, but you might start thinking that the dealership wrote this review :) Much gratitude, Michelle R. and Jo B. Stopped in for the regularly scheduled maintenance visit. Jessica gave a very warm, friendly Welcome and then continued to advice the required and optional service required on this visit. During the visit she came back to explain that the battery had tested in a questionable range and advised that it be replaced now as it was still under warranty. Upon delivery back to me Jessica explained fully all test and inspections which had been done and explanation of the final itemized billing. This was a top level service experience! On August 7, 2012 My husband and I signed an agreement contract with Sam Swope Honda World for the purchased of a new 2012 Honda Odyssey Vin # 5FNRL5H62CB119369. that was to be financed with American Ho contract with Sam Swope Honda World for the purchased of a new 2012 Honda Odyssey Vin # 5FNRL5H62CB119369. that was to be financed with American Honda Finance corp. Our credit reports are in outstanding shape with both of us having scores in the 750 range. We were unsure about adding the warranty to our loan and Josh from finace told us we would have about 3 days or so in case wanted to add it on. My husband got quotes from various dealerships and we called Josh to see if the dealership would match the competitors’ price. After Josh spoke to his general manager, they said yes it was ok. We live 1 hr away, and we rearranged our schedules only to get there and they not honor the agreement. We ask to speak to general mgr Mike Porro but he refused to speak with us. The fact that we traveled 2hrs round trip, the loss of productivity, time and gas wasted was very upsetting. We leave and decide its not worth the hassle when we can just get the warranty elsewhere. 2. Several weeks pass by and we get a call from Josh (Finance guy) that the signatures on one of the papers didn't go thru and that we would have to sign a new one. When we received the letter we received a whole new sales contract. Both of our signatures on our copy are legible and appear just fine. In the new contract Josh has now changed/increased our vehicle cash price. We call Josh and tell him that we don’t see the need to sign a new contract with a price increase. He goes on to explain that he increased the price because of a military rebate that is available to military personnel. In essence he's increased the price so that he/ they can pocket my rebate. We inform him that since we have a signed contract in place we will not be signing a new one. At this point my husband is currently on a field training exercise, and not able to return calls right away. In the meantime however Josh has left threatening and harassing phone calls on my husband’s voice mail. He stated that there's going to be lots of trouble for us and in another he said that he was going to send out a wrecker to have or vehicle towed. I have been in contact with American Honda Finance to try and resolve this issue, and they advised me not to sign the new contract and that since they have not received the paperwork from the dealership there was not much they could do. I am very disappointed at Sam Swope Honda World for not wanting to honor the agreement contract we have signed. Being that we always pay our bills on time and have excellent credit cannot understand why a dealership would act so unprofessional. With my husband being out training & having to deal with a special needs baby plus my 10 yr old, we truly do not have the time for this nonsense. Sam Swope Honda World we ask that you honor the contract already signed. If shopping for a new Honda, spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. Sam Swope Honda World does not care about customer satisfaction. More

My husband and I purchased a new Honda Pilot Touring from Sam Swope Honda World last week and had a very positive buying experience with salesman Brandon Bennett. Brandon treated us with respect and courtesy throughout the process, was very resourceful and knowledgable about the car, and actively listened to our needs. When I figured out our budget and determined a purchase price, he took my numbers very seriously and worked to meet them in a way I have not experienced with any other car purchase I have made. It was not a hassle at all, I did not get frustrated at any time in the process, and he really gave us an honest deal that met my expectations on the price of the car. I highly recommend working with him to find a car and price that meets your needs, we will work with him again in the future when our second car needs replacing. More
We brought our Civic in Thursday evening to get an oil change (close to closing time in the shop)and was greeted by Jessica with all her inthusiasim and right away we felt comfortable bringing the car int change (close to closing time in the shop)and was greeted by Jessica with all her inthusiasim and right away we felt comfortable bringing the car into Swope. We have been looking to put new tires on our Civic so I asked Jessica for a quote and she gave me one quote and then said we can do better on price with Goodyear Brand and by that she saved us $200. We brought the Civic back Friday morning and requested Jessica to write us up for tires. Thanks to Jessica and many thanks to our friends at Sam Swope Honda. We trust ALL our service on the Civic to you guys and you have never failed. Keep up the great work. More
Jessica is always pleasant and helpful with service. We have been going to SamSwope for service for 10+ years. Only had 1 service problem in all those years and the service dept took care of problem. Mr. Hampton is by far the worst car salesman I have ever talked to. He absolutely lied about several things regarding the sale, price, dealership profit, etc. All he did was try and change around the monthl talked to. Overall, it is clear that this gentleman is out to get you and if he is not personally going to make a $1,000 or more profit from you then he will NOT work with you, instead he'll lecture you on how a business should be run. Unless you are happy with sticker price, don't work with Damon Hampton. More
