Serendipity responded

I took my car in on December 29 for service and a safety check. The work was done promptly and they assured me that the tires, battery, etc were in good condition. On January 1, my car did not start and I was able to have it jumped. I called Honda Windward and upon advice from Shania, I took it to O’Reilly’s to have the battery checked. They confirmed that it was a bad cell and that the battery was not charging. I then contacted Honda Windward to see if the battery on my 2020 Odyssey was covered under the warranty or extended warranty I had purchased. I initiated the first call around 9 after I found out that the battery was not charging. Shania informed me that it would be the “finance” person who would call me back. I went back and forth with Shania trying to get the finance person to call me back. There was a conversation that she would call me back in 5 minutes, but that did not happen. I finally received a call at 1:45 at which time, “Sabrina” told me that she was not able to help me or answer my question as to whether the battery was covered and that I would need to call Pacific Honda or to call back the Service Department on January 3. She did not apologize once for not returning my call earlier as promised by the other employees and was not inclined to help me because I did not purchase the car from Honda Windward. I give kudos to the service department who worked on my car on Thursday and to Shania at Honda Windward who tried to help me get my questions answered. As for the finance person, I did not feel like she was part of the Honda Windward Ohana.
