I have rated each category in this survey with a 5 (great), because of the excellent service provided by Bob Swanson. Who exceeded my expectations. From the first email, call, and to the purchase of m (great), because of the excellent service provided by Bob Swanson. Who exceeded my expectations. From the first email, call, and to the purchase of my new vehicle he was honest, put himself in our shoes, and followed through with his promises. He did not play any games, he understood our need, and provided the best solution accordingly, and within our budget. I have not met a person of such high integrity, in the car sales business, before I met Bob Swanson. He took the time to go through faithfully even every minute feature, and detail of the car. I commend him, and He should be recognized for the hard work he does. I would without hesitation recommend him, to other friends, and family. More
Bob did an outstanding job in all aspects of the sale - from the great starting price to final delivery of the car. He even did some personalized Service work on the car the next day in our driveway (he's from the great starting price to final delivery of the car. He even did some personalized Service work on the car the next day in our driveway (he's also our neighbor)! We were very satisfied with the whole experience at Honda on Grand and would gladly recommend Bob Swanson and the dealership! More
Honda on Grand, and in particular Bob Swanson, were great to work with. I shopped around and they provided the best price. Additionally, they were very friendly and helpful. I needed to drop off a rental to work with. I shopped around and they provided the best price. Additionally, they were very friendly and helpful. I needed to drop off a rental car and Bob went out of his way to take me to the rental car place. More
This Dealership without question is utterly the (poorest) quality Dealer/service establishment to do business with. Upon every visit to Honda on Grand for service, the service reps/managers scrupulously che quality Dealer/service establishment to do business with. Upon every visit to Honda on Grand for service, the service reps/managers scrupulously cheat money out of customers in any way possible. Reps always pressure customers to approve extra parts and labor that is not even needed. The reps refuse to let customers say no. When asked about questionable prices ,the reps repeatedly try to avoid the situation and rudely disengage. The prices of some parts are exageratedly outrageous and the reps themselves know it which is why they try to disengage the conversation when being questioned about the prices. The experience of purchasing a new/used vehicle from Honda on Grand was also a Terrible experience. Rude, lackluster and scrupulous Sales and finance reps/managers made for an unacceptable buying experience. Even the New car dealer switch board operator is extremely poor quality and rude. Honda on Grand has permanently lost the business of this customer. After looking around the internet, clearly it seems the word has already spread to avoid Honda on Grand at all costs. On a scale of 1 - 5 this Dealership's staff rates at a -10. Do NOT purchase a vehicle from this dealership. Do NOT bring any business to this delarship for service. Avoid at all costs. More
When you are in the market for a vehicle, if you are like me, you are looking for the best deal possible and you are expecting to be treated respectfully. Bob Swanson at Honda on Grand in Elmhurst met both t me, you are looking for the best deal possible and you are expecting to be treated respectfully. Bob Swanson at Honda on Grand in Elmhurst met both those criteria for me. I test drove the Odyssey and the Sienna at a couple of dealers each, researched both extensively, and once I decided it was going to be the Odyssey, I interacted with 6 first, then another 3, and then 3 more, for a total of 12 Honda dealers, mostly by email. A very few of them, including Bob, responded to every email of mine, and answered all my questions directly and politely, and I knew I would be buying from one of them. Bob's price was not the lowest to start with, but I was able to negotiate a better deal with him. He was able to get the color I was looking for and that too, without any add-ons!! When I walked in to the dealership, after ascertaining that Bob was working that day, I found it neat and friendly and I was treated courteously. He took me for a test drive, even though I told him I had already done so. He wanted me to try the vehicle I was interested in buying and also take it on the highway. After the deal was done, and I was working out the loan and such with the finance person, Bob was personally cleaning up my vehicle and fixing the license plates outside. When I was done, he sat in the vehicle with me for 15 minutes and meticulously went over some of the details of the vehicle. He obviously was not just concerned about making a sale, but he genuinely wanted me to be satisfied. He even called me a couple of days later to find out how my family liked it and if I had any questions for him. I am buying a vehicle after 8 years, so my experience is limited in this area, but for what it is worth, here is my advice: Do your research well, know exactly how much it costs and how much you are willing to pay, ask for the total price including fees, tax, license, etc. so you can compare apples to apples, don't be frustrated with the lack of progress (it took me 6 weeks altogether including research), get your quotes in writing (by email, possibly). If you are planning on getting a loan, have a pre-approved loan, just in case, and finally, hope you find people like Bob. More
I would strongly encourage anyone in the market for a used car (honda or otherwise) to avoid this dealership. I found them to be dishonest and would not keep their word. I made a deal to buy a car and used car (honda or otherwise) to avoid this dealership. I found them to be dishonest and would not keep their word. I made a deal to buy a car and allowed them to pull my credit and they sold the car to another buyer in the process. I had taken a day off of work and made transportation arrangements to get to the area all for nothing. They may have made a few extra hundred dollars but for me I would never trust them. I gave them my word and did everything asked and they sold me out. Not the way you do business in my world. More
I was treated very rudely by the service manager when I came back to say the key they had made did not work. He acted as if I was an idiot and did not know how use the key. I then explained that my husban came back to say the key they had made did not work. He acted as if I was an idiot and did not know how use the key. I then explained that my husband and son could also not get it to work. After it was fixed he never apologized. FYI_ to make the key, which is just a normal key (not a remote key fob) they charged me over $70 and it took two trips to the dealership. More
Tom really did a great job. He was there to help us as soon as we walked in- he actually met us outside. He was very knowledgeable. I test drove 4 cars and was able to answer all my questions as well as m soon as we walked in- he actually met us outside. He was very knowledgeable. My job recently moved and this dealers service center is less than a mile from my new location, so due to convience I decided to try them. I just needed a oil change and a tire rotation. Its my wifes car an less than a mile from my new location, so due to convience I decided to try them. I just needed a oil change and a tire rotation. Its my wifes car and I dont drive it much but I do handle the service. On the way there I noticed that one of the tires were low and the remote did not work. I got there and was greeted by Lynn Zieman. I told her what I needed and mentioned the tire and key. She told me I needed both keys to fix the one remote, I asked her since the key is part of the remote could Honda just replace them to fix the problem? "No way you have to come back with both keys." OK, so I told them no hurry I would pick up the car after work, Could I get a lift back? Nope "Shuttles not working" Ok, I'll walk back, Will you wash it for me when you are done? "We dont wash cars here" I picked up the car 6 hrs later and drove off. Fast Foreward to 2 weeks later, wife says tires low again. I take it to the local service staion and Suprise! all the tires are over inflated by 15psi (I asked Grand to check all the tires due to the low one) I am missing 2 lug nuts and one is finger tight on one of the wheels. My local guy patched the tire (Which I think a dealers service center could have figured out) i was on my way. Hey Grand Honda! Get with the program. Make you customers walk back to work? No car wash? Putting someones family in peril?? All served up with a big attitude of I DONT CARE which is why im posting my comments here as opposed to the dealer. More
I was looking for a 2010 Honda Accord. I looked up 8-10 Chicagoland dealerships and did my test drive at Honda on Grand. Danny Estevez was the salesman. I decided exactly what model I wanted, got a quote Chicagoland dealerships and did my test drive at Honda on Grand. Danny Estevez was the salesman. I decided exactly what model I wanted, got a quote from him, then went home and called all of the other dealers, asking for their best price. I asked for the "all-in" price because in my experience some dealerships conveniently omit a charge or two. Danny had the best price, and the "all-in" quote ended up being exactly what I paid. He was very honest and straightforward through the whole process, and when I went in to buy the car, it was relatively quick and painless. I would definitely call Danny again when I buy another car. As an aside, I called Honda of Schaumburg, and the Internet salesman was very arrogant and at first didn't want to even give me a quote over the phone. Didn't matter because he wasn't even in the ballpark price-wise. Even if he was, I wouldn't have worked with him because he was so arrogant. More
