I had a confirmed appointment this afternoon to see an Accord Touring that I was interested in. I confirmed that morning that the car was still there and available. When I arrived at the dealer I was info Accord Touring that I was interested in. I confirmed that morning that the car was still there and available. When I arrived at the dealer I was informed that they had "sold" it to another dealer. My disappointment did not end there. My Honda trade-in was valued $1500 less than the confirmed cash offer that I had through Kelly Blue Book. The only good thing about the visit was that I only wasted an hour of my life. Save yourself the trouble and go some place else. I have bought two cars from this dealer in the past when it was Pauly Honda but never again. More
Wish I could give out negative stars…because I would. DO NOT buy from them. Horrible purchasing process- then less than ideal vehicle with numerous issues since driving off the lot. Regardless of how DO NOT buy from them. Horrible purchasing process- then less than ideal vehicle with numerous issues since driving off the lot. Regardless of how many times I try to connect with someone- they never call back. They supposedly don’t even have MY number on file even though the one that bought the car. They keep Calling my husband who wasn’t even a part of the purchase. 2.5 hour drive home after purchase was closer to 4 due to issues after leaving the lot at 8pm on a Friday night. Also- they pre-install a crappy perma plate exterior protector that looks like it was applied by a 2 year old- tell you it’s included in the price then add in the 2K just before signing. VERY shady business practices and they don’t care about you once you’ve left the lot. Have had to spend 3k already fixing issues with the vehicle. Go ANYWHERE els for your car purchase. STAY FAR AWAY FROM LIBERTYVILLE HONDA!! More
Honda of Libertyville resolved the issue with my battery. Matt, the general manager, offered to give us a free battery although we paid for extended warranty that included this. They never offered a Complimentary Free Oil Change, or a Free Car wash, They just left the Car in a Dirty Condtion. Would not recommend them. Free Car wash, They just left the Car in a Dirty Condtion. Would not recommend them. More

I had my Pilot in for servicing on July 29 for recall repairs and scheduled maintenance. I’ve purchased two new cars here, and they have serviced three of my Hondas since moving to the area more than a d repairs and scheduled maintenance. I’ve purchased two new cars here, and they have serviced three of my Hondas since moving to the area more than a decade ago. This was my first visit since the dealership changed ownership late last year. I’m never coming back. Here’s why: I was charged for a rear differential fluid exchange for $272.82. However, after checking my previous invoices, I discovered that this service was done at my prior visit, in November 2022, and only about 6,000 miles ago. The service advisor and/or the technician should have saw that this service was not even close to being due. On July 30, I sent an email to my service advisor about being charged for this unneeded service. I included documentation of the prior invoice showing that the service was done at my last visit, and I asked for a refund. I got no response. So on Aug. 1, I left the service advisor a voice message. Again, no response. On Aug. 2, I forwarded my email to a different service advisor. Again, no response. Then on Aug. 3, I re-sent my original email to the service advisor who was responsible for the unnecessary service and charge. Finally, he responded with, “I will check and will do the proper refund.” I thought, good! I let several days pass, and no refund check showed up in the mail. So on Aug. 10 and again on Aug. 14, I emailed the service advisor two more times asking when I would receive my refund. And, guess what? Surprise, surprise -- no response either time. It’s now Aug. 24, and still no refund. This dealership literally gave up thousands of dollars in future business to unscrupulously pocket my $272.82. Honda Libertyville has shown itself to be unethical and uncaring. When this dealership was Pauly Honda, it provided by far the best sales and service experience I’ve every enjoyed – and I’ve purchased 13 new cars across three states in my lifetime. This dealership has gone from the very best to the very worst since it was reportedly purchased by a Miami-based company last December. Some other observations from my recent (and last ever) visit: The dealership now imposes a 3% charge to use a credit card. I’ve never experienced any business larger than a mom & pop store passing on credit card fees to its customers. Small to large businesses universally eat these fees to provide convenience to their customers. I also noticed that prices of various services have gone up 50% or more. The dealership also has a guy aggressively accosting customers in the service department -- offering “free appraisals” for your current vehicle. I’ve never heard of an appraisal that wasn’t free, but these charlatans may eventually decide to charge a fee for them. The entire operation is now all about shaking down its customers. I would recommend everyone read other recent reviews about this casino masquerading as an auto dealership. Their disgustingly aggressive pricing practices are being called out by many reviewers. Squeezing money out of its customers is now part of this dealership’s DNA. Turnabout is fair play. Squeeze their gluttonous cashflow. Take your business elsewhere. As the idiom goes: Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered – meaning being greedy will lead to ruin. More
I want to leave this review for New Car sales at Libertyville Honda. Please note that previously they were Pauly Honda and they were good. Now as they renamed, things changed. I wanted to purchase 2 Libertyville Honda. Please note that previously they were Pauly Honda and they were good. Now as they renamed, things changed. I wanted to purchase 2024 HR-V on Aug 12, 2023. I called them, spoke with Miguel, who claimed to be their sales manager, and found out that they had one in stock for the color I wanted. While over phone, I double checked the MSRP and spec. We agreed on price and I explained that I do not have time to negotiate in person. We negotiated and agreed on price over phone (clean MSRP with no EPP addons etc.). Miguel asked me to talk to Joel C., when I come in. I stopped by within 1hr of our phone conversation to purchase the car. As I got in and met sales Joel C, he had no idea about the phone conversation with Miguel. Red flag for me, but I let it slide. I re-explained my discussion. To sum up: 1. The car on the lot was not the car we spoke on the phone. It was a more specced version and about 2k more expensive This is called Bait and Switch. 2. The deal was not honored. The sales manager added $3,000 more on top of MSRP and didn't want to go down to MSRP we agreed previously.... at all. Never provided transparency to price. The negotiation process was shady as xxxx with some papers furled at me showing monthly payments, that made no mathematical sense or relation to car's actual cost. At some point the guy asked what difference does it make to pay the same monthly payment for 72 months vs 60? Haha.. 3. Completely wasted my time for over 2hrs. I walked away. Do not waste your time. The disgusting bait and switch process. Lying sales manager. Dishonest place. Additional 3k on top of MSRPs. Stay away from buying a car at Honda at Libertyville... More

Tried to charge $400 to look at A/C system that Honda extended their manufactures warranty on. The service department employee was dishonest and trying to take advantage of this manufacture defect.
