There was no pressure to buy a vehicle, and Rafael was extremely knowledgeable on the questions I did end up asking (I had already did my homework and knew exactly what I wanted). Not only did they have the best price around, but both Rafael and Russ went out of their way to pleasantly let me know the status of my application and the process. It went seamlessly and without hitch and when questions arose, they graciously explained them and addressed my concerns accordingly. Customer Service is Foremost Concern We were looking to find a Honda CR-V to replace our 2016 that was only registered in my name. Our only other option was to refinance the balance, which would have increased our monthly payment on the remaining balance. We thought we might as well get a new car. We searched around, and decided to try Honda Cars of Rock Hill. We were totally blown away by the experience. Our car salesman, Jim Scott was outstanding, and, most of all, understanding of our needs. He worked to get us the best deal he could. There was no high pressure involved, just a “How can I get you what you want?” He able to get us a new 2018 CR-V EXL, a step up from our LX, and at a payment less than what we were paying. It was Sunday but there was no attempt to rush us. We were there past closing time until the purchase was complete. He even insured that we were familiarized with the electronics and safety features. This was after the dealership was closed. He stayed with us until we were on our way. Most fantastic dealership experience I have had, and I have been driving 54 years! More
Bait and switch They printed out the form with vin number and my out the door price, telling me the car was on the Celanese lot. After spending 3 hours there and applying for credit (credit application price did not match the out the door price on the form printed and they did not want to correct it or initial where I crossed out the extra charges), they told me the car had been sold that morning. I walked out and a head manager came out wanting me to come back in to talk and I refused. Suddenly a 2019 appeared, it was going to cost more than the 2018 and the 1.9 financing would not be available. I refused to even talk about it. I told him to uphold the commitment printed, but he would not discuss it (I just looked on line and they have the same model and year in stock, just a different color - so they could have upheld their deal). I spent 45 minutes Thanksgiving day talking to a young lady who walked away because Hendrick Honda of Rock Hill would not listen to her about her budget. I got the same treatment from the manager who chased me down. All he wanted to do was tell me about his deal and did not want to hear about my frustration of trying to buy a car that had already been sold. In this age of computers, I find it really hard to believe that this happened. It took them less then 2 minutes to have the 2019 driven to where I was standing. This had to be a staged event. The manager never sent anyone to get the 2019 while we were talking and refused to hand be back the form (which I had been given earlier) with the vin number and my out the door price for the nonexistent black 2018 CRV . Lesson learned - photo it. More
