I really had a very bad experience with the sales manager, John, who was Bruce Nelson's manager. I went to test drive a new Honda, and Bruce Nelson, a sales person, was very courteous and patient. He manager, John, who was Bruce Nelson's manager. I went to test drive a new Honda, and Bruce Nelson, a sales person, was very courteous and patient. He helped me choose the right trim and colors politely and kindly. But I was not able to come to a price that was acceptable to me. After I got two internet bids from TRUECAR.COM (highly recommended), I wrote to Bruce that unless he could match the price, I would have to buy it from somewhere else. Surprisingly I got an angry call from John, Bruce's manager, who yelled at me over the phone and berated me for giving Bruce the price, "as if it were a written quote.". I never told Bruce that the quote was in writing. John proceeded demanding a written quote from the other dealers, in order for him to match the price. Yet his speaking manner was almost threatening, as if he were to hit me if I were in front of him. After I said "That is fine, thank you." and tried to hang up, I could hear him still yelling on the phone. To prove the honesty of the other dealers and mine, I got the written offers from both of them and sent them to Bruce via email, and asked Bruce to show them to John. And I told Bruce that even if John could match the price, I would never buy a car from him. His attitude was unacceptable. I did not send to John directly for the fear that he would call and yell at me again. Bruce and I parted in this incident courteously, but I could not believe in this internet age, Honda Carland would hire and allow a sales manager like John to ruin their reputation. I hope this was an isolated incident as there are so many good reviews on the dealership. But the management needs to tell John to calm down. If a business cannot stay competitive, yelling at a customer will only drive more business away. Take it easy, John. Hope you treat other customers better. Please learn from this experience. More
Craig Harris did a great job, secured the deal I wanted and processed transaction in a very efficient manner. The car was cleaned up with a full tank of gas when I arrived to do the transaction. What an incredible car buying experience. I researched the internet for the exact car that I wanted and scheduled a test drive at Honda Carland. Within 10 minutes the Internet Sales Manager, Mark Thomas, the internet for the exact car that I wanted and scheduled a test drive at Honda Carland. Within 10 minutes the Internet Sales Manager, Mark Thomas, called and confirmed the appointment. When I arrived at the dealership, he was waiting, listened intently to my car needs, and searched his current and inbound inventory for the options I wanted. When I was insistent on a particular color, he found that too and had it available the next business day. He stayed in touch throughout the process, only giving advice when solicited, and treated me with dignity and respect. He was a pleasure to deal with. I left the dealership very happy with my purchase, both on the experience and price. When I want to trade vehicles, I will definitely find Mark and use his services again. He does what he says he will do and communicates effectively. He gives a comfort level that the decision to spend money at this dealership is a wise one. I am a very happy customer. More
Due to the economic downturn my business was greatly hurt. In order to keep my doors open and pay my employees I had to run up a lot of credit card debt, as well as, borrow against my home which really hurt. After my wife totaled my car, I was in a real bind trying to find a car. My wife and I have purchased and leased many cars from Honda Carland in the past, and Craig was able to see beyond just my credit score and actually took a real interest into trying to help me out. He not only got me approved, but was able to get me a great deal on a great car!! I will never forget the treatment that I got at Honda Carland, especially the efforts of Craig, and I will never look elsewhere for a car again!! More
I purchased my last Honda from Hennessy in Woodstock and was hesitant to purchase from another dealer. I was looking for a specific color and model Honda Element and found that Honda Carland in Roswell had was hesitant to purchase from another dealer. I was looking for a specific color and model Honda Element and found that Honda Carland in Roswell had one car. I had searched all the local Honda dealers to no avail so I ended up at Honda Carland after making an appointment for a test drive via email. I received a response from Internet salesman, Craig Harris. When I arrived at the dealership I was greeted warmly by Mr. Harris who immediately made me feel comfortable. I had a great test drive in the car and a very pleasant purchasing experience. Mr. Harris went over the driver's manual, and different aspects of the technology and mechanics of the car. He also answered any other questions I had. I left the dealership feeling certain I'd made the right choice. Aside from the wonderful customer service Craig Harris provided, I also had a wonderful experience with the finance manager. Everyone at the dealership seemed quite friendly and helpful. If looking for a new Honda or a great used car, I'd strongly suggest speaking with Craig Harris at Honda Carland. More
