DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS DEALERSHIP! The sales manager and sales person (last name Smith and Jackson respectively) are very dishonest. Walked into the dealership to possibly trade in my vehicle. Sales manager Smith said that he would give us $14,000 toward a new or used car or cash in hand (I didn't even negotiate or throw that number out there. They did an appraisal and that was the value they gave my car). The offer would be good for seven days. I thought that was odd that a dealership would pay so much for my car even though there was a possibility I may not purchase a car from the dealership so I asked him multiple times to repeat the offer which he did. I asked him to write the offer on paper which he did. I decided that I would sell my car to the dealership and think about the car that I was going to purchase for a few days (given that I was going to pay cash for the remaining balance of the car and not finance I needed a few days to think about throwing down thousands of dollars...seemed like a legitimate reason right?). They didn't like that. So they tried their sales tactics. First, they said that I would be skipping out on potential tax savings (I understand that but not worth making a quick decision on). Second, they lowered the price (to internet price...not sure why internet and walk in pricing is different. I would think that walk in pricing would be more valuable). Lastly, they asked me to take a drive in the car (they asked that drive the car before we start the paper work to purchase my car). So I went for a 2 mile cruz as if I was going to fall into a deep hypnosis and decide to buy a car that day. Keep in mind that I had already told them that I driven this car multiple times and like the car but I still needed a few days to think about it. Sales manager Smith left the building and sent sales person Jackson to tell me that $14,000 cash offer was no longer available and that $14,000 was if I was going to trade it in. Now, I believe I am a reasonable person, if they would have been upfront with me and let me know that they couldn't offer me $14,000 for cash but could offer me $10,000 or $9,000 I would understand but to continue to tell me that they would offer the same amount for a trade in or cash and then to go back on that after putting it in writing is dishonest. This on top of sale manager Smith leaving when the news was given so that he didn't have to deal with it...my question would be who and how is he the manager when he can't take responsibility and own up to an offer that he made me. Solution: I am not one to complain without offering a solution. After looking at other comments that people have written I can tell that there needs to be some major changes to your organization in the way employees think and act (Your brand is your reputation). Honesty needs to be the best policy. Sales need to own up to the offers that they agreed upon. There are a few good books that I could recommend everyone read in the organization but I will offer one, "Extreme Ownership" by Leif Babin and Jocko Willink. Implement the principles throughout the organization from the top down to the bottom. Your organization and the mindset will change into a more efficient and honest work environment bringing honesty back to the reputation to your organization. Fire the sales people that are not honest in their deals. Reason numero uno, if they are not honest with us as consumers, do you think they are honest with you as their employers? I could go on but my consulting isn't free and I have already wasted a good portion of my time if these things are not implemented. Thank you More

I requested a price online via edmunds and Tarik sent me a good price for a Civic LX sedan. When I came in to see him, he greeted me with a smile and we sat down the talk about everything. He told me how every step in the process is going to go, which I was grateful so that we I knew what to expect. Once we found the color I wanted, we filled out paper work and I went into finance. That took a little while but It was during a saturday so what could I do really!?!? Once I was finished he connected my iPhone to my car and I was on my way! I'm grateful for his guidance and product knowledge as well. Honda Carland is very luck to have him! More

Horrible experience! I purchased a Honda Accord from this dealership 3 years ago and have been angry ever sense I left. I picked out the perfect used Honda Accord to purchase, got it all financed and drove it home happy as can be only to have the dealership call me 2 weeks later and said that my financing did not go through and I would have to return the vehicle immediately. My previous car that I had traded in with them I had owned for 4 years and was never late on a payment. I was shocked. After returning to the dealership they said my only choice was to purchase a brand new end of the year model which was a 2 door coupe with no sunroof and cloth seats. I had originally purchased a 4 door sedan with leather seats and sunroof, exactly what I wanted. They also had already taken a trade in on my other car. I felt it was a typical "bait and switch" and I was extremely upset. It re-enforced my already negative opinion of car dealerships. Other than to start over at a new dealership with my trade in, etc which I should have done, I had no choice but to move forward with a car that I did not want. I just traded in my car for a brand new Audi at Jim Ellis and had $6,000 of negative equity I had to eat. At least now I am driving a wonderful car and I had a terrific experience at Jim Ellis. Highly recommend them! More
