Caution I Leased a car from Honda Carland 2 weeks ago, and I honestly left happy until I noticed the next day that they bundled a $975 extended warranty servi I Leased a car from Honda Carland 2 weeks ago, and I honestly left happy until I noticed the next day that they bundled a $975 extended warranty service package into my lease that I didn't know about and I even specifically said I don't want any additional coverage. New Honda cars come with 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty coverage, which is the exact same term of my lease, so the additional warranty coverage they bundled with my lease literally gave me no additional value. I returned the following week about the additional warranty package. She tried her best to overcome my objections, but I did my research about this additional and optional warranty before I came back. also work in sales for a company with similar financing options, so I know how everything works and bundling sales tactics. The lease states that I can cancel the optional service within 60 days for a full refund, but the financing manager was some how unable to explain to me what happens to that $975 service that I cancelled within a week. I still have the original quote with the gross cost of the vehicle around $23k, which included a break down of taxes, fees, etc. The gross price on my lease was raised to $25 with the bundled extended warranty, but the same monthly cost as the quote, without disclosing the "optional" feature. I left unsatisfied after talking with their financing manager, and contacted Honda about this issue. Sucks, because I originally left satisfied, but ripping people off $975 is no little amount to just brush off, so it's a shame their questionable sales tactics ruined a possibly good business relationship. More
