Overall the service department does well. This particular experience was with a part that we've already had replaced the shroud around the driver's seat. We were informed that we were in correctly getting and out of the car which was causing the cushion to wear and the driver's weight was being supported with the plastic shroud causing it to break. The cost to replace all necessary parts of approximately $750. Frustrated that we're going to have to continue replacing this part if we don't have the seat cushion replaced with a higher density foam. It's unfortunate that GMC is have this issue with other model vehicles and you think there'd be a fix for it. My 2011 Ford F-150 seat cushion is compressed but doesn't affect any of the plastic shrouding around the base of the seat. My personal opinion is the quality of the parts that GMC uses. We've decided to go ahead and move forward to having the parts replaced because we really have no other choice. This will affect our future decisions on purchasing any GMC vehicles. More

Took my truck in for service, they found a problem I was unaware of, and took care of it at the same visit. Call to schedule an oil change and tire rotation on Feb 11. Auto was at 97K miles figure I would get the 100K service. He said no problem they would connect it to the computer fix and issue and replace what was needed for the 100K service. The called back with estimate of approx $1800 said fluids would be at least $750. I thought about it and told the lady to go ahead and get it done. Went to pick up car and was told they could not do my transmission since they dont have the correct tools. They referred me to MARSHALL MOTORS. Still cost over $800. They should have told me before doing any work that all of it could not be done by them. I would have took it to Marshalls to begin with. Last Friday on way to work the check engine light comes on. Never happen before. Call service explain to them and they said to make an appt and they would connect it to computer and tell me what is the issue. This morning on way to work another light sensor comes on Told it was something with the acceleration. The did not find any issue with this but the check engine light comes up on computer as a stuck thermostat and they want another $700+ to fix and 5 hrs. I explain to Wayne I was alittle leary of spending another $700-800 at Holm now. While still there I made appt with MARSHALL MOTORS in south Salina. Mind you I never had any issue with this auto, no idiot lights have every come on since purchasing auto. Until I paid $800 to this joke of a service dept. I also took off a full day to get the service. Had to take some time off today to take it back to Holm and now will need to take some more time to get it fixed correctly at MARSHALL MOTORS. I will never spend another dollar at Holm!!! More
