Had transmission problem just South of Salina and took my vehicle to Holm Buick GMC on Saturday 13th of May. Mason and one Tech were the only folks working in the Service Department and I came in unannounce vehicle to Holm Buick GMC on Saturday 13th of May. We were on our way to CO to help our Daughter-in-law who was to have surgery and needed help with their three children. Even with a late unannounced arrival Mason and the Tech on duty found time to look into the problem and deliver bad news - transmission was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. After asking pertinent questions of me we together concluded that a new transmission was the way to go. We rented a car to complete the trip to CO. While we were gone Mason, Derrick and Trevor (think I have all the names correct) kept me informed on parts delivery, expected day when the Tahoe would be available for pick-up and cost. I received a call from Trevor and Sat. the 20th of May to let me know everything, except the test drive had been completed and the vehicle would be ready as agreed on Monday the 22nd of May. All commitments were honored and met, and we picked up the vehicle at the scheduled date and time and the cost provided earlier was exactly the cost I paid. That type of service, from my personal experience, is rare today but very much appreciated. It's impossible to be happy when you're staring down the cost of a new transmission, but these guys did everything reasonably possible to make it as seamless and painless. I didn't catch the name of the Tech who actually did the work but he/she deserves an atta-boy/girl also. You've an excellent crew working Service, keep them happy and you'll have happy customers. More

I went in for a check engine light that should have been covered under warranty but service manager Lucas charged 146.99 because he said it came on because of lack of maintenance.
