Very deceiving Out of curiosity I looked on autotrader.com to see how much money I could get for my 10 year old car. I was not expecting a dealership to call me and Out of curiosity I looked on autotrader.com to see how much money I could get for my 10 year old car. I was not expecting a dealership to call me and make an offer. Well, the very next day I received a phone call from the sales manager, Todd Mathern, making me an offer for my car. We spoke quite a bit about it and everything sounded great. I made special arrangements with my father to make the hour and a half journey from the city we live in to the dealership and also paid $100 for a power of attorney because my vehicle was in my mother's name and she could not come to the dealership with us. I arrived at the dealership and the original person I spoke with was not there. We waited an hour for my vehicle to be evaluated only to be told that they did NOT want it. If they were unsure of whether or not they wanted to purchase my vehicle they should not have approached me about it. I was also never informed on the phone that they may end up not wanting to purchase the vehicle. They were very deceitful. My father and I made a wasted trip to Baton Rouge and paid $100 for a power attorney for absolutely nothing! I had all intentions on purchasing a Mazda CX5, but after this experience I am completely rethinking that idea. More
