I am from out of state and this was the first time I brought my Pathfinder to Hoffman for service. I had been at the service garage in the past when a friend who was getting their vehicle serviced. I was impressed with how polite and thorough they were. When I ran into an emergency one day when I was in town, it was clear to me that Hoffman was where I wanted to take my vehicle. From the minute I drove into the service garage customer service was their number one priority. They listened to the problem, focused on diagnostic and was clear with their plan of attack. They communicated well throughout the process. Most impressive was their commitment to finding a needle in the haystack type of a problem. They didn't just settle for the simple solution. They tested everything and made finding the true source (not the symptom) of the problem their number one priority. I never felt pressured or that they were selling something I did not need. Prices were reasonable for a dealership service garage. Most importantly, their number one concern was the same as mine----the peak performance of my vehicle from a safety perspective. More

After a horrible experience with a local Hyundai dealer in Manchester, CT, we were VERY pleased with the no-pressure, willing-to-deal sales staff at Hoffman Nissan! Frank initially supplied an email quote in Manchester, CT, we were VERY pleased with the no-pressure, willing-to-deal sales staff at Hoffman Nissan! Frank initially supplied an email quote within a few hours of our request, which was honored and then some. We ended up with a great deal on a 2011 Sentra 2.0SL in the exact color we wanted (Red Brick), which they expended great effort to find! From the moment we walked in, we felt they were folks we could trust, especially since we were pre-approved and had a good trade and a significant amount of cash in hand, ready TO BUY! The other dealer let us walk, along with another who was ready to drop $38K (yes, 38-thousand)! All we can say is what a difference going west of the (CT) river made! We feel sure that we will be taken care of on future service, both in and out of warranty...The dealership is spotless and they obviously CARE about their customers. Thanks to all at Hoffman Nissan for a pleasant and quite frankly, stress-free experience! We will be recommending them for a long time... More
While getting an oil change at Hoffman, I asked them to check my soft tire, and they discovered an issue with my valve stem. I held off on my repair and contacted Nissan USA to request that they cover the check my soft tire, and they discovered an issue with my valve stem. I held off on my repair and contacted Nissan USA to request that they cover the issue. Shortly after, I was getting new tires put on my car at a tire shop and I was told that the issue existed on two of my four tires, not one as I had previously thought. Not only was this an issue, but they couldn't put on two of the tires because of it. I contacted Mark at Hoffman, frantic about replacing two I and was very overwhelmed by the repairs at hand in addition to new tires. Nissan had contacted the dealer and the repair was thankfully approved by Nissan. When I explained to Mark that the issue actually existed on two tires, he assured me that if two valve stems were affected by this issue, they would replace two. I drove to Hoffman with 2 new tires, 1 spare and 1 old tire. They promptly got my car into the shop, replaced both valve stems, put my 2 new tires on, and even washed my car. I really appreciated Mark's effort and that they covered the additional valve stem with no questions. Mark at Hoffman Service definitely went above and beyond for me during the repair of my car. More
On 3/21/11 I brought my Pathfinder in to Hoffman for services. I found Jose Hernandez to be friendly,helpful,and polite. I mentioned my need for an everyday car with better gas mileage. He put me in touch with Mark Zavatkay,who called me the next day to arrange a meeting. I test drove several different vehicles.Mark took the time to listen to my concerns as well as my needs for a 2nd vehicle.On 3/29/11 I purchased a 2010 Nissan Versa.I am certainly a satisfied customer of Hoffman Nissan. I would recommend Hoffman to my family and friends. More
Best car shopping experience i have ever had! I have purchased several vehicles over the years and not once could i have said that until i went to Hoffman Nissan and worked with Steve Dunham and Carmen purchased several vehicles over the years and not once could i have said that until i went to Hoffman Nissan and worked with Steve Dunham and Carmen Mazzarella. Steve and Carmen were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and just all around amazing! They took something that i typically dreaded doing and turned it into something exciting and fun...which is what shopping for a new car should be. This all started with a 120k servicing where the level of Customer Service was great at drop-off and rental car coordination. During this service, it was discovered that I had a leaking axle seal and was to Customer Service was great at drop-off and rental car coordination. During this service, it was discovered that I had a leaking axle seal and was told they had to get part and would probably need it for another day. The great news is Joe got the part in from another dealership and it was fixed. All seemed good until I saw a pretty good leak from the same area of the work the next day, so returned and it was identified that the seal was accidentally damaged during the install and I waited while they fixed it again. The great thing is the WiFi connection which allowed me to work while waiting...in fact, they were waiting on me as the Murano was fixed quickly. Bottom line, issue solved! A few days later I notice leaking oil around the spot I would expect an oil leak form the oil pan or maybe from the oil filter...Joe told me to bring it in and he and Sean met with me...remarkably, I was staying calm as I realize my Murano is worn and figured it could be something else...well, it was and it was a doozy. The ball bearings in my transfer case were worn allowing transmission fluid to leak...Sean said it could be a $3k job, but said he would talk to the Nissan Rep because they have seen this before. Bottom line, Nissan said to treat it as a warranty repair to keep pricing down AND split the overall cost 50/50! In addition, they found a leaking power steering hose when the transfer case assembly was out, fixed that with no charge...they also did an alignment at no charge! They even cleared up a dust guard issue causing a noise while driving...again, no charge. I stopped bringing my car to another Nissan dealership where I purchased the Murano because I felt like an enemy instead of a customer and changes at a local shop made me try Hoffman...actually, a very minor and small customer service moment with their parts manager really made me feel like they may treat me like a valued person and at least have empathy for things...all soundly backed up by Joe, Sean and Juan. I will keep coming back based on this experience! More

Every employee I have had contact with has been very friendl at Hoffman Nissan since I purchased my vehicle in 2008, my sales person was John Swarts. From my salesperson, Mark, to Liz, the account manager, right up through Steve, the General Manager, everyone worked hard to put me in my Frontier SL at a fair price. They even gave me a fair and honest value for my trade-in. Way to go guys! I feel this is a dealership that I could establish a long relationship with, and let’s face it, that is as important as the deal itself. More
Dealing with an autobody shop can often be a intimidating experience. I feel I speak for the average citizen when I describe my body of knowledge on auto mechanics as limited. Since my driving days began I have routinely given my keys to a stranger in the autobody shop and trusted them to be honest and forthright with me and to service and make repairs to the best of their ability both from a time and cost perspective. Dealing with Shawn Pinto, the service manager at Hoffman Nissan in Simsbury, CT, has been a refreshing experience. Shawn's philosophy is one that sees the customer as a partner rather than just a potential revenue source. For starters the entire team at Hoffman is extremely friendly which speaks to the friendliness rating above. The workers have been upbeat and polite each time I have been there. The customer service has also been outstanding. For instance when I missed the shuttle bus on my last service appointment one of the mechanics was happy to offer me a ride to work. On a previous occasion when the dealership was late finishing the service I was comp'd with a free oil change for my troubles. More recently I was told I needed new struts on my car. I originally purchased my vehicle used from Hoffman but had only driven it 6k miles up until this point. I expressed to Shawn my concern about having such a large repair so shortly after purchase date of my vehicle. In a true sign of goodwill, Shawn agreed to fully compensate me for the struts and performed the work for free. Additionally, when I picked up the vehicle it was fully washed and looked terrific. It is for all of these reasons I rate customer service as excellent. Regarding price I gave it a Good (4) rating. Dealerships often have a higher margin than regional mechanics on many labor intensive services. However, after benchmarking prices against other mechanics I felt Nissan was still very competitive. In terms of quality of work it is honestly hard for me to say as I mentioned I am no expert. So far I haven't noticed any issues with my previous repairs and I guess time will tell. So far so good though! Overall given the excellent customer service, friendliness of staff, competitive pricing, and quality of service I would rate the overall experience as excellent. Shawn is a top quality service manager and his philosophy on service resonates with the entire department. I look forward to NOT having to worry about the handling of my auto repairs for as long as I own my Nissan. More
