He later called to tell me that they had a 1996 Toyota Camry with 92,000 miles on it. I stopped by because I was very interested. Long story short, I was assured by Bobby and John that the car runs very well. I put a $200 deposit on it (Wednesday) . I called John the next day and told him that I wanted to take it to my family's mechanic. John asked me to call before I came. I arrived on Friday (didn't call) to take the car to the mechanic. John was concerned and told me the car was fine. He said on Wednesday he was going to take it to have it inspected. He didn't. He said he was going to get a quote for the torn off inside driver door handle ( had to open door from the outside only) and both torn off driver and passenger grab handles. John wanted to know where I was taking the car to be inspected. He looked them up on the internet and saw that they specialized in Japanese cars. He left me in his office and closed the door behind him; I guess to let Bobby know that I was going to take the car to be inspected and that I was onto/suspected something. When I got in the car, I noticed that the driver's window wouldn't roll up all the way. When I got to my mechanic, I mentioned it to him. He said, "Take it back. It is illegal to sell a car that wouldn't pass Virginia safety requirements and that faulty window is a major default." I told him it is a 1996 Toyota Camry with 92K miles on it. He said, "There are probably problems with the timing belt too. It takes 3 hours alone to open the case. The car is not worth more than $500 if that. It's too old." I told him I put a $200 deposit on the car. He said, "Get your money back and if they say if it is non-refundable-sue them!" I took the car back to Hillwood Auto. John griped at first saying the deposit was non-refundable. I told him the car is not safe and that I was not leaving with a time bomb. He processed the refund except the $6.00 service fee. I complained to Bobby about not getting my $6.00 and he gave me $4.00 from his pocket. Small price to pay considering all that would have gone wrong if I paid their asking price of $2100 for the car and not had spoken to my mechanic about it prior.. More

My husband and I were looking for a car to buy outright. We had initially took a car that we would have had to lease and decided that we might be in over our heads and wanted something else. We thought it We had initially took a car that we would have had to lease and decided that we might be in over our heads and wanted something else. We thought it was going to be a hassle but the owner practically gave us a car right there on the spot with the down payment we had initially gave him for the previous car. After it was all said and done we gave him our down payment and were responsible for the tax, tag and title ourselves. He really worked with us during a trying time especially since my credit is less than stellar. He is a small dealership, but we were able to work out a great deal in the end. I would recommend him to anyone I know. More

Stay away from here. Everything they say about their cars is a lie. If you do buy here hope you never have any problems as their mechanic works when he feels like it and gets your work done when he fee cars is a lie. In less than a month, it was noted to have excessive oil consumption. Upon further evaluation by a Nissan service department, it was found the engine was no good and the only remedy was engine replacement at considerable expense. The dealer misrepresented the condition of the car by telling me the car "runs real good" and what could be wrong with a 2006 Nissan. My son lost $8000 and now has no transportation. This owner is dishonest and committed fraud. Do business with him at your own risk. He doesn't deserve to be able to continue to sell cars. More
