Hillview Motors has unethical, even fraudulent, business practices.  I purchased a truck from them that they advertised as ‘No accidents, one owner’.  They gave me a CARFAX report that claimed the same.  I practices.  I purchased a truck from them that they advertised as ‘No accidents, one owner’.  They gave me a CARFAX report that claimed the same.  I purchased the truck, and when I ran my own CARFAX months when I was considering refinancing my auto loan, I discovered that the car had a additional owner reported, as well as TWO accidents.  Due to this fact, I was unable to refinance the truck.  When I called Hillview Motors, they claimed that those accidents had not been on the CARFAX at the time of purchase and that CARFAX was unreliable in that way.  However, when I contacted CARFAX to research the issue, they responded to me, stating that they had verified that the information about the accidents had BEEN AVAILABLE ON CARFAX well before the purchase of my vehicle.  I have filed a claim with the Attorney General’s office, but wanted to warn anyone considering purchase of a used vehicle from Hillview Motors that you cannot trust the information that the dealership gives you about the accident history of the vehicle, nor can you trust them to make the situation right when they are told that they sold you a vehicle under false pretenses. More
