You know. I remember when I first purchase my current Nissan Altima back in March 2018, following my 10-year old Honda being totaled. I decided to try somethin I remember when I first purchase my current Nissan Altima back in March 2018, following my 10-year old Honda being totaled. I decided to try something new and here came Nissan. Shortly after my first few service experiences at Coggin Nissan in JAX (where I lived at the time) and Jenkins Nissan in LKLD (my hometown), I quickly decided I would not entertain ownership of another Nissan. My experience as a customer was poor and I unfortunately observed poor employee to employee relations in both dealerships on various occasions. I often had experiences where great integrity was lacked at both dealerships (Coggin and Jenkins). A gross lack of integrity, where from service to service to recommendations and pricing ranged drastically or a services is previously completed was being recommended again in 3 months time and when I pull out the receipt to show I’d paid for that service there’s great question as to whether the service was performed or not. I vividly remember the day I told myself I'd maintain the health of my car as best as I could for as long as possible, but I’m not looking at another Nissan. Fast forward to 2023, I become a resident in the Chain of Lakes Region (Winter Haven) and now get my vehicle serviced at Hill Nissan. If the other guys are kool-aid, then Hill Nissan is top tier lemonade because my experience has been nothing short of pleasant, professional and positive. I can remember just about each service advisor I’ve had the pleasure of working with at Hill Nissan and the entire staff at this dealership is stellar, all-around kind people, hometown people and genuinely integral people. My first few service visits I workers Cory who was a great part of the reason I came back. Everything about the experience with him was different and he was honest and kind and informative and ensured my vehicle was taken care of like his own. Then he moved on from Hill Nissan and I had the pleasure of working with Josh who saw my vehicle twice in 2 days and took care of me and offered a coupon savings for a large repair I’d brought my car in for. The damage was done by me (blew two tires, bent the tire rod and needed an alignment) and he not only empathized with how I did the damage (he’s had a similar experience leaving Sam’s in south Lakeland) but he took care of me with a coupon to help me save a couple bucks. Similarly, yesterday I took my car in for a routine oil change (I was a couple months behind). I didn’t see Josh and presumed he may have had the day off and I worked with Lizbeth. She was kind, knowledgeable and professional and when she came to me with the list of recommended repairs, I loved that there was no fear tactic used but she explained with services she recommended be done immediately and why, which we’re important and the markers that signify their importance and which could wait (only 1). Like Josh, she had great empathy and understood the decision I was pondering because my $60 oil change quickly turned to $1000+ in services. I’m sure there are Nissan owners who’s blink at that and I aim to be one of them, yesterday I wasn’t there yet 😂. Lizbeth helped me with a little savings, I shuffled funds and paid the bill because I could tell from my experience at Hill that the company really operates on integrity. Yes, Hill’s in the business to make money on all fronts but it doesn’t feel like you’d drop integrity to do so and that’s been the major difference for me as a customer. Your people are genuinely kind to customers and each other and they’re knowledgeable. It’s this experience that has changed my Nissan ownership trajectory. I literally called my mom yesterday and told her I’d actually consider owning another Nissan after yesterday’s experience and my overall experience at Hill Nissan since 2023. Sorry for the person who has to read all of this but I felt the need to share my honest review because I quietly quit Nissan years ago and in one year at Hill Nissan, that’s changed. More
