In the time that followed, she had all of her maintenance done exclusively at Hiland - if we spent money on anything related to her car, it went to Hiland. Last week, despite having less than 125,000 miles on it, the transmissiom died. Hiland quoted us $5000 to install a new one, or $3000 to install a used one. The part costs $2600 brand new, and $800 used, meaning they were going to charge us for over 20 hours of labor for the installation, despite the fact that it only takes a few hours, which is verifiable online. We were willing to forgive the insanely high quoted price for fixing it, and asked how much they would give is for trade-in value. They originally said $2000, but after pointing out that the car was worth $8000 retail and $6000 on trade in, and simply needed an $800 part, they came up to $2500. That offer was still really bad, but I was willing to take it if they would give me the same value if I sold it to them outright. The salesman I talked to at first said yes, but since I was also seeing about using the trade in value for a drastically overpriced used car they had (it was worth $3800 max, and they were saying the best they could do was $5000) I told the salesman I would take the $2500 trade-in value if they came down to $4200 on the used car, otherwise I'd just sell mine outright at $2500 as he said they would accept. A different salesman called back and said that not only would they not budge from $5000 for the used car, but they would in fact only give me $2000 for selling the car outright. I told him that wasn't good enough. I called back the next day to say that if they couldn't do $2500 for selling it outright, I'd pay to have it towed somewhere else since it would be a better deal for me evem after paying for the tow. He proceeded to become belligerent and yell at me for telling him how to do his job. He could not have possibly been more rude. I'm never buying a car from them again, and neither are any of my family or friends, some of whom already has similar stories from this same dealership. If this is how they treat loyal customers, I can't imagine how they treat other people. More
Worst Experience Ever I drove into the dealership on March 27, 2014. We were out looking at 2 used car's at the time, We were out on the lot for over 20 min. Never once did I drove into the dealership on March 27, 2014. We were out looking at 2 used car's at the time, We were out on the lot for over 20 min. Never once did a salesman approach us. Mike Steel from Dent Relief approached us and asked if we had been helped, We said no. Mike called a salesman by the name of John Augustine. John was at lunch so we went to Smart Toyota in Davenport, Ia. While we were there John Augustine called us and begged us to come back that he would beat there deal by far. Once we got back to Highland Toyota everything John said was a lie. We ended up buying the car because they had the color we wanted. Did not get the deal he said we would. We told John we had License plates we wanted to use because they were personalized plates off our old car we sold out right and they were current. John told us we could not use them and we were charged for new plates and an electronic filing fee. I called the License & Title Clerk and she was the rudest person I ever dealt with when I told her I wanted a refund on my plates. She flat out said no. We bought Gap Insurance and called Keith in Finance to have him cancel the gay because we paid the car off and he gave me a number and said I need to take care of that on my own. Keith did not seem to want to be bothered. I even let a message with the owner never getting a return phone call. I think the Management there is the worst I've ever seen. I would never go back or recommend Highland Toyota. More

Great experience with Lonnie at Hiland Toyota Called Lonnie to inquire about a used 2000 Tacoma with 117,000 miles on it. He was very knowledgeable about the truck, its condition, and prior ownership. I drove 2 hours to see it the next business day at 9am, it was absolutely as he described it, maybe even better. I've dealt with a number of dealerships, including Toyota dealerships on five other purchases. Many will say anything to get you to the dealership. When you arrive its not at all as described - not in this case. This was the easiest, fastest purchase I've ever made. Do your homework, know what's available and fair prices for the condition you're looking for. I highly recommend calling Lonnie if you're looking for a car. More

I drove over 2hrs. to get to the dealership.By the time I got home I had noticed a bad rattle coming from the front end.The next day was new years eve so with the holidays and all I forgot about it.I got it checked out and come to find out the Struts are bad and my tires are cupping. For about 800.00 I can get it fixed.I also bought an extended service plan...But guess what it's not covered.I called the dealership 4 days later and was told that happens with older vehicles.Yes I agree.BUT...one of the dealers was driving this suv as a personal car, you can't tell me that they did'nt notice this....I would expect this from a Used car lot on the main drag of every town but from a TOYOTA dealership....I would have never beleived it. They did'nt even say hey bring it in lets take a look at it and maybe we can work something out...I'm an honest guy working hard for everything I have....Right now I just want to trade it off but I can't i'd lose to much money.I'll never go to Hiland Toyota again or will never tell my friends that live in Davenport to either.Very dissapointed.... The salesman was the stereotypical salesman. Fast talking, obnoxious, anything to get a sale. I had never been there before, and I'll never go back. I would like to first of all mention that I was a serious buyer at the time because I needed a car within a week for my new Job. After visiting the place and Staying there for about an HOUR wondering arou buyer at the time because I needed a car within a week for my new Job. After visiting the place and Staying there for about an HOUR wondering around with NO HELP WHATSOEVER, some technician guy noticed us and decided to get out of his own way to help us. By help us, I mean he gave us one of the car keys I wanted to try and left without giving me any information about it. We left the place with the intention of never coming back Couple of days ago, I decided to try again but this time is online. I filed a finance application and then heard back from one person asking me if I'm dealing with any sales representatives, I answered that I wasn't dealing with any representatives however I am a serious buyer and that I would need help immediately. That didn't happen, I didn't hear back from anyone even after I sent multiple emails to that Person. I am probably never ever visiting that place again. AWFUL PEOPLE, AWFUL COSTUMER SERVICE, AWFUL OVERPRICED PRICING (from when I was visiting). More
I tried to purchase a new vehicle from them. They gave me one price and I looked around at a few more dealers over the next couple days. When I called back to purchase vehicle, they didn't "remember" the me one price and I looked around at a few more dealers over the next couple days. When I called back to purchase vehicle, they didn't "remember" the figure we had agreed on. They then changed the deal price to more than originally agreed upon. I wouldn't recommend buying a vehicle from them More
