I have not bought a vehicle from Heuberger yet, but I will when I replace my current Subaru. I purchased my car in Montana from a small town dealership and left before I needed to use their service depa will when I replace my current Subaru. I purchased my car in Montana from a small town dealership and left before I needed to use their service department. After transferring to Colorado Springs though, Heuberger has performed all of its major preventive maintenance since it is the only Subaru dealership in town (I do all of the minor work like oil changes, tire rotations, and replace wear items including brake pads). The service department has been wonderful. They have completed the 30k, 60k, and now the 90k service on my car without a single return visit. They are quick to get the work done and I have not had a single problem with the car even after six years and almost 100k miles. This obviously says a lot about Subarus in general, but I believe that Heuberger has to get some credit for ensuring my daily driver is maintained at its peak condition. Sure, maintaining a Subaru is not cheap because of its unique engine layout and all-wheel drive system, however, my Subaru has never stranded me, and I know it will get me home even in the worst Colorado weather. Just horrible. This dealership is a joke and the quality of work performed is criminal. I don't know what standards a dealership has to meet to do warrenty work but the bar for this place needs to be upped of work performed is criminal. I don't know what standards a dealership has to meet to do warrenty work but the bar for this place needs to be upped a few levels. I have been back to this dealership literally 15 times for the SAME issue. Excuse after excuse and I am still trying to get things accomplished that were left undone the last major service. If you live in Colorado Springs I would think twice about a Subaru because this is the only place to take your car. More
I searched for months for a car and visited many dealerships...Heuberger was my favorite, not only because they had my favorite car the Impreza, but also because of the way i was treated there. At dealerships...Heuberger was my favorite, not only because they had my favorite car the Impreza, but also because of the way i was treated there. At other dealerships i felt swarmed upon and at heuberger i was able to roam around a bit on my own before being approached and for me that was a relief. Most places had sales people on me before i could even park. I didnt feel any pressure and the vibe was laid back, personable and relaxing...rather than pressured and defensive. I had a good experience and I have a great quality car. Thank you so much...i will definetely recommend your dealership to others. More
Lots of customer service (free gourmet coffee etc) with courteous staff, but the actual work performed was mediocre. The dealership has service reps who interface between the customer and the mechanics an courteous staff, but the actual work performed was mediocre. The dealership has service reps who interface between the customer and the mechanics and there is a lot of information lost in translation. The reps gave me bad advice (eg saying that the recommended interval between oil changes was 10,000 miles). All in all, there is a lot of room for improvement; I wish that the service dollars went to better car maintenance. More
I bought a new Beetle in '02 from a dealership in Vt. I live in Co. and have taken the car to Heuberger Motors for it's regular maintenance since new.
When the car had about 14,000 miles I took it in f live in Co. and have taken the car to Heuberger Motors for it's regular maintenance since new.
When the car had about 14,000 miles I took it in for service and upon leaving noticed the car had a squeek like the front sway bar bushings on the frame were worn. I took the service writer for a ride and he said the only problem was the suspension had relaxed into a position that it doesn't normally see since it had been on a lift for service. He recommended driving the car to see if it would go away.
My fear was did they bend something with the lift and was it going to quit squeeking after it wore the parts completely out? The squeek did not go away. I have taken the car back several times to get this fixed and they "supposedly" have replaced parts, lubed parts and it still squeeks. I have talked with other New Beetle owners who's cars have 3 times more miles than ours and they report no squeeking at all in the front of their cars.
One of the service writers that I have dealt with has flat out LIED to me and one has tried to be helpful.
I will take the car back and keep going up the ladder until this problem is resolved.
I know I indicated that I would NOT recommend this dealership to others but I would recommend it if the customer didn't talk with a particular service writer by the name of Steve Foster. As I stated above, he is a liar and could care less that the problem is taken care of. Does he want the customer to keep coming back to have the same problem fixed under warrenty so they can be paid more money by Volkswagon? This is unacceptible. More
