I tried to buy a used Chevy Bolt here through their home delivery program but was met with incredibly unhelpful sales people. I started the process Friday, but did not hear from them at all aside from a quick email. I called them Saturday morning when they opened and things seemed to be going well. Andrew told me he would call me back within the hour with more details. When I hadn't heard from him three hours later I sent a follow up email and called. While on the phone I was told that they were very busy and “You are not as important as the people on the sales floor.” I called back a couple more times throughout the day being told the same thing everytime. When I took issue with being told I am not as important, the man who answered the phone told me I was welcome to just drive to Baltimore and when I informed him I live over 3 hours away he told me that was a reasonable drive. I eventually got a quick email from Andrew saying “Apologies for the delay; had customers in the store. Saturdays are the busy ones!” at 2pm over 5 hours after he told me he would call me back within an hour. At that point I decided to go with a car at a different dealership who has been much more helpful. I also attempted to get financing through them during this process and my first application “Got lost” so I had to apply again and was then given a rate 3% higher than my credit union. Because of this I chose to use my credit union's financing and was told that it was unlikely that I would be able to get the car because it would sell before they got the check from my bank. I explained that I had a cash deposit worth over 30% of the ticket price, but was told that didn't matter and they wouldn't hold the car for me until they had the entire amount. More
I do NOT recommend Hertz Car Sales Baltimore for the following reasons: 1. Hertz provided us with an Experian AutoCheck Report stating that the 2022 Sienna we purchased was accident and damage-free following reasons: 1. Hertz provided us with an Experian AutoCheck Report stating that the 2022 Sienna we purchased was accident and damage-free when actually they had paid to repair some of the damage to the front bumper (and possibly a wheel) themselves and did not disclose that. I have a repair invoice from before sale that proves this. 2. Hertz refused to repair the damages to the car when our mechanic inspected the car and found damage to the bumper, front grille, and bottom skid plate. 3. Hertz claimed that as a rental the car had been serviced on a regular schedule, but they refused to provide maintenance records when the CarFax showed it had gone 20,000 miles without an oil change. Toyota recommends intervals of 5,000 miles. 4. When buying the car, we had to wait 2 hours with our 7 year-old to sign papers while the manager, John Reid, sat on a company conference call. When we complained about the wait, they tried to get us to commit FORGERY by having me sign for my husband so he could take my son home. 5. There’s also a bit of shadiness about the station where they had the car inspected/repaired before sale: Priority 1 Auto Group Recon Center. Apparently it is closing, and when I called them I was told there is no way to access the records of my car’s inspection or speak to the inspector. More
