The initial numbers were incorrect, so much so, I was not sure if he was trying to pull stunt, or he just did not know how to do his job. Finally, he realized I was right and went back for another try. Also, we never knew how they derived at the final numbers until we were actually ready to sign the final paperwork. It appeared they took great care to keep the line items out of sight, so all they revealed was the payment...we had no idea how they arrived at that number! Overall, I would say it was an "old school" way of conducting the car buying experience. The car was for my Mom and I was there to assist her through the experience. I can say from purchasing several of my own in recent years, many dealerships no longer use such tactics to sell vehicles. It is an outdated approach to the car buying process! Still, with end of year discounts we could not beat the Nissan incentives, and like most things, it is all about the bottom line. Thanks to Nissan Corp., we were able to salvage a deal even in such an outdated selling environment! More
