I decided to pick the car up and go elsewhere when they said they wouldn’t be able to get to it until sometime next week. No hint up front that it would be a week before they could even look at it. God only knows how long it would be for the actual repairs. This has been a real inconvenience and my car to be fixed. Get your act together Herndon! More
I’ll start by saying my family and I have purchased several vehicles from Herndon with not a lot of problems. But service lately sucks. My wife took her Cruze for service and a valve cover replacement several vehicles from Herndon with not a lot of problems. But service lately sucks. My wife took her Cruze for service and a valve cover replacement and 4 tire sensors. Service representative called (who was very nice and respectful) with a $2900 cost. Mechanic said numerous problems. Oil pan leaking, the4 coil assembly was broken, front brakes, tires sensors and valve cover. I chose to replace valve cover, tires sensors and coil assembly $900 +. Got home antifreeze pouring out thermostat housing, no sensors replaced and the oil filter tube was broken. Took it to a shop close to the house $550 including front pads for everything. No oil on the driveway from "oil pan leak” GOOD GRIEF! More

I have waited almost 5 months to write this review, I brought my 2011 Buick Regal for a check engine light. The service advisor reported that the mechanic had determined that I needed a new timing chain and the cost to repair would be $3,200. I looked up the average cost of repair on Google and the range to repair was from $1,800 to a high of $2 400. It took Herndon 2 days to get back with this quote. I live in Florida but I grew up in Lexington County SC and this dealership has been in business for as long as I can remember. I told them that I did not feel they were correct. I am still driving my Buick with no problems. Do Not believe what this dealership tells you. GET A SECOND OPINION if your car is running. THEY ARE PRICE GOUGERS. I WORKED FOR A CHEVROLET DEALER FOR MANY YEARS AND COULD NOT BELIEVE THEIR GREED. More

I purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse from Herndon in May and am pleased with my purchase overall with one exception....the right rear tire leaking down weekly. The first week I had the car, I had to pu and am pleased with my purchase overall with one exception....the right rear tire leaking down weekly. The first week I had the car, I had to put air in the right rear tire. I thought maybe the dealer just didn't get it aired up properly, but when it leaked down again, I took it to my tire guy who said he found a puncture and he plugged/patched the tire. Great, no big deal, but then it leaked down again. Back to my tire guy who checked it out and thought the patch was leaking, so he repaired it again. The next couple of days it leaked down AGAIN. That's when I took it to Herndon to check the rim. They said it was the tire and the rim was fine. They offered to sell me a new tire but I got a better deal with my tire store. I replaced tire with a new one problem solved, right? Wrong! The right rear still leaks down even with new tire and new sensor stem. So, I went back to dealing with Herndon trying to get them to put a new rim on the right rear as there is nothing left but the rim to replace. Herndon is unwilling to stand behind the vehicle they sold less than 3 months ago. My salesperson Carter Harmon tried to get the Used Car manager to cover the issue, but he would not. Best they can say is that I will need to purchase a new rim. "The roads we drive are really bad" Carter said. Funny thing is, I drive other cars on these same roads and I don't have this problem, but then they aren't made by Chevrolet! Herndon is eager to sell, but that's where there eagerness stops. Eagerness after the sale appears to be non-existent as I called back and left a message for Joe, the Floor Manager, as he was not available at the time. Problem is, I haven't received a return call in over two weeks. Frustrated with this whole experience, I purchased a new rim and I believe the problem is now resolved (see pics of old rim; cracked just like I thought). Remember, Herndon's service department said there was nothing wrong with the rim and that it was the patch my tire people did on the tire and that it can not be corrected and that I needed to buy a new tire. Not only do they not stand by their product, they provide erroneous information. Thinking back on my experience, Herndon was really eager to get the car detailed and delivered to me. Now, I wonder if it was because they knew the right rear was a problem when they sold it to me? In my mind that's exactly what was at play, but they positioned it as them trying to get my newly purchased car delivered to me as quickly as possible. I'm a businessman myself so I realize the anyone can have problems arise in their day to day business, but when you pay over $35,000 for a supposed "Certified Preowned Vehicle", you expect a bit more service than I received. Looking back on the sequence of events maybe my first call should have been back to the dealer instead of my tire guy, but that still doesn't excuse Herndon's lack of customer service throughout this issue. Had Herndon handled this in manner I would have expected, I would not be out nearly another $675 for a new tire and new rim for a car that I have driven less than 2500 miles. If they can live with, I can, but needless to say I will not be shopping at Herndon Chevrolet in the future. If you are reading this review, you might consider my experience before making your decision whether to deal with Herndon Chevy or not. More
This is absolutely the worst GM dealership I have ever been to. Please don't think all GM dealerships are this bad. The sales managers are condescending arrogant sales people who can't make it at sales p been to. Please don't think all GM dealerships are this bad. The sales managers are condescending arrogant sales people who can't make it at sales people and become sales managers and totally against women. They never even acknowledged my wife. I have been a GM customer as well as a former employee (not at this dealership thank goodness) and family who are working at GM and who are retired from GM and I actually went up the road and purchased a Dodge for the first time in my 40 years. If you are looking for a vehicle please don't go to a dealership who have dogs on their website as employees. I love dogs but not when I'm buying a $100,000 vehicle. This is a total joke dealership. Please go to any other GM dealership. It's not GM's fault that their are dealer principal (Luke not Sky although Sky said he would run the business better) who have no clue how to run a business. I did contact GM directly and hopefully they can revive their reputation by doing something about this garbage dealer. As a side note their keytrack drawers are sitting on the fold up tables in the showroom. If you need keys there is a manual release on the back of the drawers that bypass the security. Please call GM directly and report them. Don't just leave a bad review. This is GM's direct number 1-800-222-1020. The only way Sky will get a clue is if you call and report your experiences. Also, the dealer gets what is called SFE which is a "bonus* from GM. This is money that the dealership gets every quarter. If they don't meet certain criteria they will lose this bonus. Please please please call GM. More
I was happy when I first purchased my vehicle, our sales person was amazing… Too the point I purchased mine then a week later we came back and my boyfriend purchased a truck. Between the two of us, almost 9 person was amazing… Too the point I purchased mine then a week later we came back and my boyfriend purchased a truck. Between the two of us, almost 90k worth of sales within a week. That’s a lot of money for some families. Now the tides have turned. Dealing with the service department has been completely different. From someone that has been in the service industry as many years as I have, I normally don’t do these kind of reviews, due to the way it can affect a business. In this case, I have unfortunately been left with no choice. My vehicle has been in for repairs for the same issue with my radio/ camera more than 7 times, but only 7 times have been documented. The service department has left the repair orders open each time and changed the in and out mileage so this way it does not give me accurate information to give to gm when trying to acquire a buy back which I was just denied for. If I try to trade my car as anywhere else other than here, they will lowball me so much that I will be so upside down I will be forced to come back to Herndon. Though, the service manager spoke down to me and didn’t even bat an eye When I told him that Cody lied about tire warranty or cussed at me on the phone. I just hate that we have spent so much time and effort here, and now we are stuck. The sad thing is, I have helped them with so many of their own problematic customers, just to see this is how Angel and Lawton really do treat their customers. Herndon knows this is A lemon, I did everything by the book. It was reported at 9200 miles, they have had more than the required 3 attempts to fix it, but I even have a text from an advisor that it is not fixable, went home after the last “fix” and my backup camera was frozen while I was driving straight for 4 minutes. But this is not unsafe, this doesn’t qualify for a buyback, but they will trade me out.. why? So you can sell the defect to someone else? Why are you doing business this way? Will it take me going to the Attorney General’s office next? The news? I don’t want to do all of this, I just want to make this right! More

This dealership was completely dishonest with me in my transaction. I recommend no one EVER deal with them under any circumstances. A vehicle was advertised to the public for a certain price. The car had transaction. I recommend no one EVER deal with them under any circumstances. A vehicle was advertised to the public for a certain price. The car had been used as a loaner vehicle and had 2000+ miiles on it but had never been titled. I had a Costco Auto Buyer coupon to reduce that price by $3000. I wired funds for the full purchase into the dealership's bank account. Two weeks later I went to pick up the car and found that they had jacked up the price by over $3000 so I never got the benefit of the $3000 Costco discount. The dealership kept that discount for itself. Plus the car was filthy, was infested with ants, had missing equipment, and the paperwork was totally wrong about taxes and registration fees. When I complained to the Costco Auto Program they dealership finally admitted they increased the price of the car in the same amount as a Costco discount as a "premium for selling to an out of state purchaser," a fact that was never disclosed to me. Indeed, the manager of the dealership specifically told me I was receiving full credit for the $3000 Costco Auto Program discount. Horrible experience from beginning to end. I hope no one ever has to go through what I went througn. If I could rate the dealership a zero, I would. More
