With our busy schedules we preferred to do all negotiations online and then come to the dealership to finalize paperwork and take delivery of the vehicle. After negotiating an out the door price that was competitive with other area dealers, we decided to purchase our new vehicle from Heritage VW of South Atlanta since they are the dealer closest to us. The specific vehicle we wanted was not in their inventory, but they said they could transfer it from another dealership. After we agreed upon pricing, the communication slowed down and we had to keep following up. We were told several times the dealership was short staffed. We asked for a buyer’s order and a copy of the vehicle window sticker. The buyers order was incomplete, missing the VIN for example. After a few more emails and calls we finally received the documents and agreed to move forward with the purchase. The car was to be transferred to the dealership and ready for delivery the next day. According to VW.com, 1.9% financing was available for the vehicle we decided to purchase. With an 800+ credit score, qualifying for their low interest financing wouldn’t be a problem. When we asked about VW’s financing incentives and were told no incentives were available. After emailing a screenshot from the VW website showing the financing incentive we were told someone from the dealership finance department would call us. When we arrived to pick up the car it was ready for delivery as promised. The sales person, Tim Lenox, was very courteous and professional. As we reviewed documents (which had been completed by another sales person) we found the VIN number and some other details were incorrect. Once Tim had the documents corrected we were ready to meet with the finance manager. We asked the finance manager about the 1.9% financing incentive from VW and he stated that if we wanted the low interest financing we would have had to pay an additional $2,000! Also, the dealership advertised a “Black Friday” promotion on their website for a $500 Visa gift card with any new vehicle purchase. To receive the gift card we would have been required to pay $500 more! The dealership refused to honor either of these promotions without increasing our out the door price! If you are considering a purchase from this dealership do yourself a favor and shop around. Also, be aware that the cost of any promotional offers may be added back into the cost of your vehicle. Beautiful times at Heritage VW! I've never received anything but wonderful treatment by the service department, sales staff and customer service people. And the fact that they do the rentals, the movie theater, the Internet kiosk and the TV room with plenty of refreshments, water and access to clean facilities if you need them just tops off the visit. The time goes by faster when they always have things for you to do. It makes for a home-y environment and even IF there is a long wait, it's a pleasant visit. By the way, I've never had to wait for any extraordinarily long times regardless. I had a couple of commitments that were not honored that I ended up paying for myself, but overall, it was a nice slight that I was willing to overlook, though some people would not have. Service beyond compare I bought my VW from this dealership and have been getting it serviced here exclusively. I have worked with several different service managers but now I bought my VW from this dealership and have been getting it serviced here exclusively. I have worked with several different service managers but now request Bradley Kerr. He courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. He is the ultimate professional. I recently needed repairs beyond the normal service. Not only was he willing to check to see if the part was under warranty (it was) but he also found a way to cover all the extra fees; making a $1400 service cost nothing. He really cares about the customer and builds a good rapport with each one. VW needs more service managers like Bradley! More

I communicated the boundaries of my allotted finances and was told "this number is absolutely work-able" yet everything continued to go back and forth repeatedly.
