Ridiculously Unprofessional I made an appointment for 1:00. when I made the appointment I inquired about how long the weight would be if I decided to stay and wait for my car. I was told 1 hour. when I arrived at my appointment I asked again how long it would take for my car to be serviced. I was told 1 hour. after about an hour and a half I went out and asked the service rep to find out how much longer it would be. he came back out and told me that they were working on it and it would be out shortly. at 3:00 I went back out and asked how much longer it would be because it had already been 2 hours. I did not see the service rep until 3:30 when he came over to inform me that they were starting on the second spring on the back of my car. let me add here that my appointment was for a recall to replace the two rear springs on my car. so two and a half hours into my hour-long appointment they had just started the second half of the job. I was ultimately there until 4:30. On a Saturday afternoon when I had other things that I needed to do and I had planned to be there for about an hour I ended up sitting at the dealership for three and a half hours. no explanation was given as to why it took so long other than that they needed to bill for the appropriate amount of time to get paid for the recall. Having said that, I was told that the billable time was 1.2 hours. So even allowing for the extra half an hour my car should have been done by 2:30. when I received my car back, it had been run through the car wash against my explicit instructions to not wash my car. I had a previous car damaged by a car wash at a different dealership and never allow my car to be run through a car wash. My air conditioner inside my car was also on a completely different setting, I'm not sure what they were doing that they needed to be inside of my car for long enough to have the air conditioner running. But maybe that has something to do with Wyatt took 3 and 1/2 hours for my supposed hour appointment to get my car serviced. next time I need to get service on my Volkswagen I will be going to Stone mountain which is about a 2-hour drive away. But even if I have to wait for an hour for my car to be serviced like I should have had to wait for this one I will still be coming out ahead time-wise. I got no explanation as to why it took so long. An appointment was made twice I verified how long it would take and three and a half hours I sat there for an hour appointment. Again with no actual explanation as to why it took so long. My service rep was the only positive thing about the experience. He was extremely friendly very courteous and apologetic. I assured him that it was not his fault that it was taking this long as he was not the one actually doing the repair work.But I will never again return to this dealership for anything and will caution any and all Volkswagen owners that I know to avoid this place especially on a weekend if they have anything else to do that day. More
