We thank you for your feedback about R&H Toyota Scion. We know that there are many choices out there and appreciate your time and consideration. Based on our information, the first visit for your 4Runner was related to a “Maintenance Required Light” not a check engine light. This sometimes can be confused as a check engine light, but is in fact the vehicle telling you that maintenance is required at this time. The second visit was a result of a “Check Engine Light,” which is a completely different indicator. Upon checking the code, it was determined that Fuel Air Ratio Sensor needed to be replaced. At that time, we checked for any additional or prior codes that would store in the system and nothing showed as being stored from the previous visit. We understand that it may seem these items are related, however they are not related in function at all. We would like to discuss the reasons why a certified Toyota technician and Toyota parts, as well as the needed scans, can become more complicated than one screw in and one screw out. A vehicle with 90,000 miles has a possibility of something going wrong at any time. Our Service Director, Louis Piero, would be more than glad to discuss a fair reduction in cost for you, as we truly value you as a customer. Our Company purchased the group over the last several months; I can assure you that the new company is a customer-centric automotive company who knows the value of our customer base.
