The salesperson was fine, but once we sat down to get a price and a started to deal with the sales manager, that is where the problems began. We asked them to give us their "best" price on a Higlander, be price and a started to deal with the sales manager, that is where the problems began. We asked them to give us their "best" price on a Higlander, because we do not like going back and forth negotiating. The price they gave us was "maybe" $1000 under sticker price, which is absurd to begin with. We were also trading in a Dodge Grand Caravan (140,000 miles) that CarMax rated offered $2000 for, but they offered us only $200! We were obviously insulted and said so. The sales manager then turned the tables on us asking us what we felt was a fair offer. We told them a low-ball figure to which he responded, "now I'm insulted!" We then told him what carmax offered for our van and he all of a sudden started to see what we could do if they gave us $2500 for a trade-in, but he refused to budge on their original offer for the vehicle, making it sound like it was a "great" deal. The whole experience was horrible and we will NEVER go back to this dealership. We also talked with some neighbors that same evening and they told that they had a bad experience at this same dealership. AVOID this dealership!!! More
I am married to a US State Department employee being deployed overseas. We needed a new car. I went to Russel Toyota and signed a sales contract and wrote a check for the full purchase price of the au deployed overseas. We needed a new car. I needed the paperwork done fast 9which they said they could do). After expressing my dissatisfaction I was told that I had no appreciation for the exceptions and efforts of the dealership on my behalf. Mr. Matt Bukowski told me he was rescinding our contract and sent the following E-mail: "Yes in fact we are canceling your transaction. Do to the rules that Toyota has in place about shipping a vehicle out of the country you must Title the vehicle somewhere in the USA before it leaves. The chargeback that we would get in selling you this car is not worth the business. I have contact Bank of America to refuse the wire transfer. As to your check I would suggest a spot (sic) payment on the check. If for some reason it clears our account you will have to wait an additional 10 business day to recieve (sic) your refund. There will be no fees on my end in any case. I had advised Toyota Motor Sales that you have not taken delivery of this car due to shipping reason. Toyota has a large database of people that plan to ship a car out of the country. You will be on that list now. Please tell the dealer that you plan to ship the car out of the country so they do not get the chargeback." More
This is the 4th Toyota I and My family have bought from David Day @ Russle Toyota in the past 25 yrs. All 4 vehicles (3 Camrys and 1 Corrola) attained close to 200,000 miles and 1 that was passed down to s David Day @ Russle Toyota in the past 25 yrs. All 4 vehicles (3 Camrys and 1 Corrola) attained close to 200,000 miles and 1 that was passed down to several student family members is still running at near 300,000 miles. The lack of repair work needed for these vehicles was truely astonishing! The only repairs these vehicles needed were brakes, tires, rotors, an alternator, timing belts, a window regulator-- regular wear and tear stuff. Not one of those vehicles ever had a powertrain issue. The V6 LE Camry I just traded in was 16 years young and in good running cond. I got an excellent price for it from Russle. Buying cars from David @ Russle Toyota is always a pleasure. No game playing and no feelings like you are being jerked around. I called David and left a message on his voice mail that I saw a Camry Solara online that I was interested in. When I drove up to the showroom the next day, the Solara was cleaned, turned on and ready to go! After a very quick credit check, I was handed the keys, and spent the rest of the morning driving and falling in love with the car. Prior to calling David, I researched comparable Solaras in the MD / D.C area and the Russle price was 4-5000.00 cheaper and the miles were much lower. Russle/Toyota also provided free Car Fax, 7yr 100,000 mi powertrain warranty, 1 yr bumper to bumper warranty, and 1 yr roadside assistance. Russle also provided proof of 1 car ownership and the car was in impeccable condition. The buying process took about 15 minutes and was low pressure and hassle free. I highly recommend David Day and Russle Toyota to anyone who is considering buying a Toyota. If after reading this, you like what you have read, please consider sending this to Russle's Marketing Dept. I would very much like to be considered to do a commercial for Russle Toyota! Purchased Certified Toyota... had some paint damage; scratches, chips, etc... unusual for 6 month old car. Requested that these items be as a condition of purchase.
