I was looking into buying my first car and had no idea how to begin. Robert Mason took care of everything for me and got me a great deal. He was very friendly and got me my car within two days. They even how to begin. Robert Mason took care of everything for me and got me a great deal. He was very friendly and got me my car within two days. They even made it possible for me to put very little money down and worked very hard to get the loan for me. I truly loved the experience. More
Took Accord to dealership for first oil change. OK, not a major operation but many times some establishments can make you wish you never used them for even simple services. NOT SO, here. I made an apppoi a major operation but many times some establishments can make you wish you never used them for even simple services. NOT SO, here. I made an apppointment because I was going to wait. Everything went as promised. Recommended tire rotation and, respected my declining the service (since I do much of the auto maintenance work myself). Answered questions about oil life indicator versus the mileage point at which I am used to changing oil, and, about 5W20 oil. The service was very, very courteous and prompt. This was my second visit (first unrated) to this dealer service center. I took the car here shortly after we bought it for option installation work I ordered on the Honda .net website. I don't think the service department made a lot on this website-ordered install but they did it, shuttled me back and forth to my home (20 mins each way), and were incrediby professional and nice. This experience made me choose to bring the car back even for this routine service. High marks for Ms. Strauss and her colleagues. And if you are wondering--yes; I know this was "small work." But I feel that if they treated me this well for small things, they offer the promise of the customer service you;d expect for higher cost work. More
I spent a week shopping for a new vehicle. I had very specific needs and I am very picky too. I had visited 5 other dealerships and looked at several different types of vehicles. I visited Honda twice specific needs and I am very picky too. I had visited 5 other dealerships and looked at several different types of vehicles. I visited Honda twice before I actually purchased the Honda Pilot and I was never pressured, all of my questions were answered and everyone was friendly and helpful from the salesman, to the sales manager to the finance office. I always felt comfortable about the decision that I was making. The salesman was very helpful in going over every detail of the Honda Pilot. After the sale I received a phone call to check on how everything was going. The experience at Heritage Honda was better then 4 of the other dealerships. I felt like I got the most for my money in the Honda Pilot and I felt my concerns about my needs in a vehicle were addressed. I was really surprised at how "smart" a Honda is and how advanced all of the equipment is in the vehicle. My daughter is very comfortable in any seat and I feel that the safety features are top notch which was of the upmost concern to me. I must say that I wasn't looking for a Honda but after seeing it nothing else quite compared. Go check it out for yourself. I highly recommend that you consider Hertitage Honda and John Mohlhenrich before you make your final decision on your next vehicle purchase. More
Adam has a great personality and does not give you the "used car salesman" attitude. No haggling. None of the "let me see what my manager can do". Very nice. The finance person was also very friendly. Eve "used car salesman" attitude. No haggling. None of the "let me see what my manager can do". Very nice. The finance person was also very friendly. Even came in to work while not feeling well. Car was in great condition. I was in and out of there in a short time (as compared to other places). More
John took all of the stress out of buying a new car from the time I walked in the dealer. He knew what I wanted and he didn't try to sell me on anything that I wasn't looking for. He was very knowledgeabl the time I walked in the dealer. He knew what I wanted and he didn't try to sell me on anything that I wasn't looking for. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle both on the road and on paper. He didn't play any games when it came to negotiating a price for the vehicle and he came back with a bottom line number that squeezed the profit for the dealership. He treated me like family. More
Adam put me in a car that I wanted and helped me out even though my credit is not the best. He explained to me every detail I needed to know because it was my first time buying a car. His customer service wa though my credit is not the best. He explained to me every detail I needed to know because it was my first time buying a car. His customer service was very friendly and helpful. I then delt with Mike who also had great customer service and he walked me through the final process. This is only the third or fourth time I have gone to a "review" site, or used any other means, to review anything or anyone. I would not have expected to being doing this on a car purchase. I'm too old "review" site, or used any other means, to review anything or anyone. I would not have expected to being doing this on a car purchase. I'm too old to waste time, too frugal to waste money and too quick to walk away from car dealers that put any degree of stress into the "task" of buying a new car. While I have had good experiences with past purchases, at other dealerships, they were what was expected from people who were just doing their job - even doing it pretty well; so, I was never moved to do something like coming to this website to tell you that Heritage is a place you should visit before you finalize any Honda purchase. Better yet, just go there first. I just don't see how someone could have a better buying experience anywhere else. Rob Mason served as my first impression of Heritage. I found him to be pleasant, responsive to my questions, willing to help and acting more like a concerned neighbor who may have been along with me to purchase my new car. Never pushy but always available. Steve Rubin is the Sales Manager. That is usually the ugh-oh moment when they bring these guys out to wrap the deal. Not in this case. I could tell that he wanted me to purchase a Honda but, most importantly, he showed great respect for my expectations. He worked out a few more details and even managed to find a car, matching my specifications, at another dealership. I left with a good feeling; however, the final price was higher than what I would have paid for a Ford product I was considering. So, I went home to go over the details with my wife and to take a little time and utilize a little of what I had learned in decades of litigation and insurance related investigations to find out just how "up front" these folks were with me. What I determined was that, on every point and fact, they told the truth. That means a lot to me. My wife seemed to like the Honda a little better than the Ford so I called upon Rob Mason to answer a few more questions I had.....perhaps with the hope I would get the wrong answers and be able to justify to my wife why I didn't pick the Honda. Not to be. Rob was so willing to get details for us. I continued to feel that he was working "with" us and not "on" us. Mike Lincoln is the finance/title work/ etc. link in the transaction. This is usually the stop you make at a dealership to conclude the sale details to finance the car, get the registration, etc. It's usually, for me in the past, the last place you want to be. By now your car awaits you, you want to get home and you just know that this is the place where they beat you over the head with the special add-on stuff and surprises. (See the undercoating scene at the car dealership from the movie Fargo). NOT the case at Heritage. First of all Rob gave me a listing of items that would be available to me when I met with Mike. I had nothing sprung on me. Then I met Mike who turned out to be another pleasant individual who was willing to answer all my questions while going over what was available, all the while never being pushy. Some people just do not want to hear about anything more that is going to cost money at this point in the transaction. I usually fall into that category; however, I'm learning that perhaps I don't know everything. Someone has said "you don't know what you don't know". So I used this as a learning experience and let Mike tell me about the different programs. I had an idea of one service I might be interested in but ended up buying two. It was a case where it was good to get the information from Mike because it provided me with information - not just hype - to make an informed decision. If you have read this far you are probably wondering if I am the uncle or father to one of these people. Not at all. Never met them before this but I certainly am glad to know them now. No one is more surprised by these comments here than my wife. Not that she doesn't know how well this whole car-buying experience at Heritage turned out to be. She is just surprised that there is a business out there that could leave an impression such as to move me to write something like this. Rob made such a great first impression. I'm so glad I met him and was thus able to meet the others. I suppose some of the credit must go to their corporate owners/officers. I know that the Heritage umbrella covers many brands and dealerships in this area but somehow they seem to have given "ownership" (as my old Human Resources Dept. friend would call it) to their local dealers - at least in Westminster. I never felt I was dealing with a conglomerate. They are surely large and modern and have expanded over the years; however, the buildings do not make a business great. The people do and I am so pleased to have met at least three great people, and got a good deal on a fine automobile to boot. My son lives about 50 miles from Westminster. He likes his Honda Odyssey but it is an early model and miles are building up. There are lots of Honda dealers near his home and work but I hope he takes his old dad's advice and shops for his next Honda in Westminster. Having the benefit of knowing what a cynical curmudgeon his father is he will surely pay a visit to find out for himself why I am so impressed. More
Our Salesman, (Mr. Joe "Ski") had to get the car we wanted from a fellow dealer in Parkville, Maryland. On a busy Saturday he drove there and still delivered our new car the same day. We took business cards to recommend the salesman, and dealership, at work. More
After spending several weeks evaluating my options and automobiles/dealers, I purchased my 2011 CR-V from John Mohlhenrich and Heritage Honda in Westminster. I used to equate carshopping to dental surger automobiles/dealers, I purchased my 2011 CR-V from John Mohlhenrich and Heritage Honda in Westminster. I used to equate carshopping to dental surgery - the faster it's over the better. This experience was very different. I struggled with options, color, etc. John was very patient and helpful. Once the decisions were made, John and Steve Rubin got busy and located the car and delivered it within a day. John spent considerable time demonstrating the car features and giving maintenance hints. When I got home that evening, an email was waiting for me from the Service Manager. I feel like I've been adopted! The true test of a good car deal is measured in time and follow-up service. I'm confident that I will be reporting in the future to this site that "all is well on the Westminster front". Thanks John for all of your help. More
