Mike Dowdy was very easy to work with and made the sales process very enjoyable. He provided a very good price and after looking at several other competitor's vehicles we returned to Bel Air Honda and boug process very enjoyable. He provided a very good price and after looking at several other competitor's vehicles we returned to Bel Air Honda and bought our 2013 Odyssey from Mike. He did a great job explaining the vehicle to us and made it clear that he is always available to help us get the most out of our new van. More
Rick was no nonsense and fair. I came in with Consumer Reports pricing at 11:00 am and walked out with a very fair deal 20 minutes later. This was the best sales experience I have had when buying a car. The sales staff was friendly, and courteous. They worked with me to get the price I needed to close the deal. Max was extremely detailed and knowledgeable about my new Civic and explained little nuances simply. Even though I have been driving forty years and know a lot about the features of new cars Max was professi Civic and explained little nuances simply. Even though I have been driving forty years and know a lot about the features of new cars Max was professional and was attentive. Spent most of my time when purchasing the car with Mike Dowdy who stayed late and showed his experience in the business. He seemed to know what I knew and didn't know which was great because I like just getting to the point and signing what needs to be signed. SInce I leased my process was pretty painless and Mike and I had a fair amount of time to catch up personally while the car was being prepped. The only thing I can observe was that it took quite awhile to prep the car but it has been a long time since I bought new so this could've been me. I understand that late on Saturday the crew prepping is small and everyone likes to come in late so a suggestion is to stay open later or keep another prepper longer. Other than that everything was excellent. Thanks More
My overall experience buying a car from this dealership was very positive. We had a realistic bargaining sesson and were able to reach an acceptable price. Michael is a good salesman who was hamstring by bad systems and other employees mistakes. I was concerned with the misstated mileage even though we reached an amicable agreement. The car was delivered dirty but a detailing was offered as a remedy. More
I am 58 yrs old and have purchased quite a number of new cars in my lifetime. I find the stereotypical pre-packaged sales dialogue still used by so many dealers to be a tremendous turn-off and in fact, insu cars in my lifetime. I find the stereotypical pre-packaged sales dialogue still used by so many dealers to be a tremendous turn-off and in fact, insulting. When I walk into a dealership, I've done my homework. I already have a good idea of the vehicle I want, the most I'll pay and what I'll take on my trade. I just want good answers to my questions, respect for my time, respect for my intelligence and pleasant people to talk to. Bel Air Honda did everything right from the moment I walked through the door. Salesperson, Mike Miller, approached me immediately, listened carefully to what I had to say and offered a few ideas on meeting my vehicle needs while staying within my price range. He was pleasant, patient and did nothing to make me feel pressured throughout the process. That treatment alone would bring me back for another car. If the service department is efficient and equally pleasant to work with, I'll definitely be a repeat customer and be good for a few referrals. More
I purchased a new Honda Fit from this dealership a few days ago. The financing person tried for about half hour to make me purchase their extended warranty that will start running after the third year of days ago. The financing person tried for about half hour to make me purchase their extended warranty that will start running after the third year of purchase. After realizing I was going to walk out if he kept insisting on how wanderful this extending warranty was and I would be foolish not to purchase it, and being 9 PM, I wanted to get home and I signed the contract, without reading it. (I thought I was delaling with a reputable company). The next day, I checked in Kelly Blue Book approximately what my monthly payment would be considering my trade-in, my down payment and my credit record of 730 that the the sales person provided to me. The difference between the KBB ($261) and my contract ($314) amounts to over $3000 in the 5 years of the financing period. I called the dealership and requested a meeting with the manager. When I went to talk with him, he told me he will not even look at my papers where I wanted to show him how I came up with the $261 against the $314 and that I already signed a contract. True, I have already signed the contract at about 9 PM a couple of nights earlier frustrated with the financing person for trying to sell me something I did not want. I called the Honda Motors Headquarters office in California and the lady at the complain department told me that she will file the complain but there was nothing she could do because it is an independent dealership and I already signed a contract.
