Word of Caution We almost bought a certified pre-owned Leaf from Herb Gordon Nissan. We were about to make a long trip to test drive and likely purchase the car when We almost bought a certified pre-owned Leaf from Herb Gordon Nissan. We were about to make a long trip to test drive and likely purchase the car when Sven, the salesperson, emailed me a number of photographs of a dent that he "just noticed" on the car that he wanted me to be aware of before I made the long drive. The dent required significant bodywork. Sven didn't lower the price because he said the price already accounted for that (um . . . so you just noticed it AND the price that was posted online accounted for that?) Later he said the dealership body shop would cover the cost. The problem here is that I was suddenly negotiating for a car that had been in an accident, which would negatively impact the resale value. By the way, six days later the car listing has not been updated to mention the accident that Sven noticed over the course of our communication, or the bodywork needed to repair the damage. Perhaps the dealership will fix it themselves and continue to pretend that there wasn't anything wrong with the car. Or perhaps someone else has heard the same basic story. Glad we got our Leaf somewhere else. More
