Michael (internet sales manager/ general manager) was extremely helpful and offered a competitive price over the phone. That night I drove from CT to Boston to see the car and talk with Micheal. Both Alan and Michael stayed until after closing with me and my wife to review the car and fill out paperwork. A few days later we returned to the dealership to pick up the car, but not until Alan went over the whole car with us. Overall, the entire experience was not only painless but quite enjoyable. I would highly recommend to anyone in the market to purchase a Porsche to visit this dealership. More

Over the past 5 years, he has kept in touch and consistently made sure my service appointments went well. In fact, at times, he coordinated my service appointments! Beyond that, he made some calls and helped facilitate purchases of other (not Porsche) cars at different Herb Chambers dealerships! Truly the best customer service around. The sales staff did not pressure me when I made the plunge to trade my '04 for an '09. With the crazy number of options on Porsches, it took a lot of effort to find one which I liked. The price was excellent for both the new car and my trade. The people at Herb Chambers Porsche, in my opinion, make it the great place it is! I could not recommend them more highly. More
I have been shopping around for a while at various dealerships around MA and NH for a new Porsche before finally making a purchase at Herb Chambers Porsche. I have had enough bad experiences workin dealerships around MA and NH for a new Porsche before finally making a purchase at Herb Chambers Porsche. I have had enough bad experiences working with car dealerships, and luckily this is one of the rare opposite. Not only do they have the most comprehensive inventory available in the MA/NH area (yes because Porsche cars come with several hundred different options, and it makes it hard to find one that has the exact items you want), their sales staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. They completed the entire transaction for me extremely quickly and smoothly, and I really didn’t need to do much. I made the deposit via a credit card on Thursday night, and I was already driving my brand new car home Friday afternoon. One of the pluses working with Herb Chambers was their after-sales services. I got follow-up calls and e-mails from their sales staff to ensure I have no problems/questions with the new vehicle after delivery. There are car dealerships out there that would hardly return your phone calls after you have given them the check. Herb Chamber Porsche provided me the level of services and personal attention that I expected to find in a dealership that sells higher-end automobiles. Overall, I was very satisfied with my purchasing experience with Herb Chamber Porsche. P.S. This is my first time purchasing any car from the organization, and I am overjoyed that I was able to work with the team at Herb Chambers Porsche. Michael Fernandes and his colleagues made the entire experience wonderful. Before I had even committed to any car, he was willing to hear my thoughts and concerns. His no-pressure, friendly demeanor made me feel at ease, and he never pushed me to hurry my decision. In the end, I purchased a car from his current inventory, and the paperwork was done without me having to raise a finger (until I had to pay, of course). I was very particular about how I wanted the car delivered, and they were able to fulfill my requests in a timely manor. I hope to purchase another car from them in the future. More
The purpose of my visit was to purchase a new vehicle. After doing some research about the car I was interested in and on the local dealerships I soon found that Herb Chambers Porsche of Boston had the be After doing some research about the car I was interested in and on the local dealerships I soon found that Herb Chambers Porsche of Boston had the best inventory of the model I was looking for. When I entered the showroom I was greeted very warmly and was not "Handled" in the typical "Sales person" routine. I actually had a pleasant visit which is not typical in dealerships of my experiance. What struck me as a "Bonus" was the fact that other sales people working at the various times I was there, not just the one I was dealing with directly, were willing and happily so, to give a lending hand on questions I might have had, or there spin on certain questions I might have thrown out as "what if" scenarios. This seemed more of a team effort on the dealerships side of things which in my opinion is a big help. Not at anytime did I feel any "pressure" or was I "smoothed" into ordering or getting anything I did not want... No up selling pressure at all. My sales person was very knowledgeable and if there was something she could not answere she would find out for me, none of this hurt ego BS or pretending to know absolutly everything and just giving me any answere to make me happy. I really got the feeling that this was more of a "family" environment than your typical sales floor feel. Now as far as the other Reviews posted on this site on this dealership, I have not run into any of them yet. I have not had my vehicle serviced here yet, which will be extremely important to me. Will let you know thumbs up or down on this. The only "Negative" I can say about the dealership so far is it's location. Parking can be an issue, and getting there not the best situation, for me anyways. It is not your "Standard" PORSCHE Building set up you see all over the State. They have three floors of different dealerships in a very very tight downtown Boston setting. Not my first choice if I wanted ease of location. More
I had the worst experience with this dealer. In short, I put down a $3000 deposit in May '07 for a car and found out three months later NOTHING was done about it -- no order was placed with the car manufact put down a $3000 deposit in May '07 for a car and found out three months later NOTHING was done about it -- no order was placed with the car manufacturer, paperwork could not be located at the dealer and never mind knowing the status. However the accounting department had no problem verifying that $3000 was received. They must have thought it was a charitable donation. In the three months and over a couple phone calls, I was told that the order was placed and everything about allocation, build schedule, shipping/import lag time, etc. All very interesting stuff if I had wanted to be a car salesman, but I just wanted a car!!!! In my final visit to the dealer, it was "explained' to me that this whole mess could have been avoided if I had pick something from their inventory. Really?! Pardon me for not realizing my fault in this. Un-freakin' believable!!" More
