Herb Chambers Porsche, located about an hour's travel from my house, had a low-mileage 911 Targa of interest to me. Losing patience, I approached a representative. I indicated my interest and my budget, making it clear that I was educated in the subject matter. After a very short discussion I was dismissed. However, before leaving, I was able to view the vehicle of interest, which was well below the advertised condition. I subsequently overheard the rep describing my interest & my budget to others while laughing. At the time I was a 15-year 911 owner. I had fully researched my target vehicle and the prevailing market conditions over a period of several months. I knew exactly what I wanted, what to avoid, and the range of prices for similar vehicles. I subsequently purchased a very similar car with substantially fewer miles, having a better options package, in substantially better condition from an out-of-state dealer for $10,000 less (and within my budget) than Chambers were asking for their vehicle. Since then this car has been flawless over 30K miles. I have not been back to any Chambers dealership since, despite buying several new models from manufacturers sold by Chambers at dealerships convenient to me. I will never give any Chambers dealership my business except under the most dire circumstances. More

This is the 4th Porsche vehicle I have purchased from Mike Fernandez. While my entire family has purchased 15-20 cars from the various brands owned and managed by Chambers dealerships, Mike Fernandez stands out in my mind amongst its many many fine service driven employees. I have also noticed that as Manager, Mike is active and consistent in trying to instill his same attributes in the staff at the Boston store. In my recent purchase (today), Mike would not let me purchase the car (a brand new model for the dealership) until I had a chance to drive it. I would classify myself as a customer that requires a good deal of assistance in arriving at the right choice, and only when Mike concurs with my conclusions, do I sign the purchase order -- and in 13 months I will be back once again. Michael is available 24/7, anticipates virtually every need and cheerfully attends to any request. frankly, I have never see an auto dealer behave in such a customer-centric manner. After wintering in VT, my new Carrera was having electric system issues when I first star Michael Fernandes not only for sales but also for service. Mike got Porsche roadside assistance to VT and they loaded the car onto a flatbed to bring it back to Herb Chambers' service department. Within 24 hours the car was brought back to Boston, the problem diagnosed (a little mouse), fixed, and the car was brought to my home in Boston. A very good outcome, and the type of service I have come to rely on with this dealership. More

Both Alan and Michael stayed until after closing with me and my wife to review the car and fill out paperwork. A few days later we returned to the dealership to pick up the car, but not until Alan went over the whole car with us. Overall, the entire experience was not only painless but quite enjoyable.
