We only gave Herb Chambers "1"s because we couldn't rate them "0". We went there to buy a Honda. They would not sell it at the price they have advertised. I wanted a Civic DX. The sales person told me there were none in all of Massachusetts, even though I had quotes from other dealers on the DX. The sales person then said, wait a few minutes and you can talk none in all of Massachusetts, even though I had quotes from other dealers on the DX. Recently i went to get an oil change and tire rotation the cost of the tires rotated was ridiculous. I did get it done and left there with possibly unbalanced tires. Checking over the receipt I wwas charged for items that were supposed to be covered from previous work, oh did I say requested on 3 different occasions to be fixed. STILL not right. I had to drive 50 miles a day for work and thought I was going to fly off the highway it bounced so badly. I went back for a diagnosis now I need a new tire. No one said that 3 days ago. Currently I have found this website because I am looking for another Honda so the dealer ratings is very useful. Thank you. More
Sales Rep. quoted me a price over the phone and then changed the price to a higher price when I walked in. Sales Rep. states there is no room for negotiation and the price that is listed is the price it changed the price to a higher price when I walked in. Although he stated that there is no room for negotiation, after awhile talking to him he was able to lower the price on his end a couple hundred dollars but that was it. There was no room for me to negotiate. The thing that turned me off the most about buying the car from Herb Chamber is a picture the Sales Rep. showed me that was in a book that the Sales Reps. usually shows customers which had a picture of an Indian G-d. The Sales Rep. (Fabricio) mentioned that Indian’s tend to lie and after showing them this picture they have to tell the truth. Although I am not Indian, this was very offensive since I have Indian friends who are the most honest people I know. This is disturbing that a company would use this type of sales pitch by using a G-d. This is unprofessional. After the Sales Rep. realized he was not going to be getting a sale from me, I was also called a liar in so many words about my trade-in being in an accident which it never was and even car fax would prove that. Yes scrapped up in spots but nothing more then a usual used car would be. I also took the time to call back and explain not to hold the car for me since I am not interested anymore and the Sales Rep. started arguing with me. I rather keep my car and when I’m ready to buy I will not stand foot in an Herb Chambers. I will share my experience with others since this was by far the worse experience I ever had and I have bought cars at other dealerships in the past. More
I am a disabled person and on a fixed income. I told this to the sales person and business manager. There was a car I was interested with and checked out the sticker price, I asked them how much a mont this to the sales person and business manager. It was a little more than what I wanted to pay, but I said to myself it would be ok. I get to the office and filled out the paperwork. He told me - the business manager - the Simoniz 5, LoJack and some type of Tire Guard was included. Here I'm thinking what a great deal, I get home and looked over my paperwork. That man added an additional $1500 to my car. Remember he said it was "included". They were NOT included. I then contacted him and told him I only wanted to figure out the monthly amount from the sticker price. Since I'm disabled and on disability I am exempt from paying sales tax, and THAT MAN had the nerve to say to me "well you don't have to pay sales tax". To make a long story short I contacted the General Manager and they ended up paying the $1500 on my loan. NEVER, NEVER again will I do business with them. I would never recommend anyone to Herb Chambers. Just look online, there's too many bad stories by customers. I should of looked them up before going. More
I recently test drove a Honda Odyssey in the hopes of purchasing the vehicle. The test drive was great - there was no pressure and my family and I really enjoyed it. We were not able to purchase the vehicle due to some unexpected financial reasons but when this was told to the sales person, he was very understanding and said that he would be more than happy to accomodate me when the time was right for me. This is the first and only place I will return to purchase a new vehicle. More

He carefully reviewed all of the features and controls of the Odyssey inside and out both with me and my wife until we assured him that we were comfortable in our understanding of their function and operation. In my all of my dealings with auto dealerships this special treatment was not only a first, but was genuinely appreciated. All of the employees we met there were pleasant, courteous, and professional. More
Herb Chambers Honda lied to me. They said they had the car I wanted in stock. I when there and they said they had one coming in to them in four weeks. They tried to get me to take a lower model (LX) but w car I wanted in stock. I when there and they said they had one coming in to them in four weeks. They tried to get me to take a lower model (LX) but wanted the same money they quoted for the EX. When I said I would wait they changed the price by $3,000. Buyer beware. Don't go to Herb Chambers. All they do is lie to get you to go there. More
I did a lot of research before purchasing my first car. The car I wanted was the new Accord Coupe fully loaded with a v6 6speed transmission. I knew there weren't many of them but my sales person Jim Swee The car I wanted was the new Accord Coupe fully loaded with a v6 6speed transmission. I knew there weren't many of them but my sales person Jim Sweeney was able to locate the one I wanted from another dealer and arranged to have it brought to thier RT 9 location in 2 days. I got the car I wanted at a reasonable deal. Jim even delivered the car to me at my place of work and linked my cell phone up to the car's bluetooth for me. Thanks Jim and everyone at Herb Chambers Honda for making my first car shopping experience a great one! More
