I usually do not write reviews and never thought I would be prompted to do so about a car dealer. I recieved excellent treatment, from everyone including the General Manager to the receptionist. The salesp be prompted to do so about a car dealer. I recieved excellent treatment, from everyone including the General Manager to the receptionist. The salesperson was a refreshing change. He actually cared how I would be using my new car and wanted to make sure what I had picked out met my needs. He was very knowledgable about the vehicle. And once we had a car picked out and it came to the numbers, what I thought would be the hardest part, he struck a fair deal where there was little hassle and I was comfortable with the #s because they made sense. Pickup was easy and all the controls were throughly explained to me. And even after the sale I recieved just as much attention. Within the following month I was called a few times to make sure everything was still ok, that I had no new questions about operation, and to thank me again. If every dealership had this outlook on the process, I would move the dentist appt above buying a car on the list of things I don't like doing. To the entire staff at Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough Thank You. More
I purchased a new Honda Civic from Matt and I couldn't have had a better experience. Matt thoroughly showed us all the features in our new vehicle. In fact, other dealers we had visited didn't even take have had a better experience. Matt thoroughly showed us all the features in our new vehicle. In fact, other dealers we had visited didn't even take the time out to find what we were looking for in a new car. He listened and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. We worked out all pricing with as little back & forth as possible. We agreed on a price that I thought was fair to both us and the dealership. We weren't at the dealership for hours, which was a big worry for us having a 2 year old. My wife and I ended up driving home in our new Civic that day. A few days later we showed back up at the store for our inspection sticker. Mike in service was very friendly as well. They even went as far as to re-washing the vehicle and vacuuming out the inside before leaving. I really recommend this dealership and its staff, which is why I think the got the ratings they deserve. We look forward to our next visit, when our 2nd vehicles lease is closer to its turn in date. I'm certain it will be as easy as the first. More
I had an absolutely WONDERFUL experience at Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough. I walked in knowing that it was time for a bigger car - something that would hold my kids and everything that goes along with t Honda of Westborough. I walked in knowing that it was time for a bigger car - something that would hold my kids and everything that goes along with them. After comparing the Honda Odyssey to the Honda Pilot, I was leaning towards the Odyssey from a practical stand point but not sure if I was ready to be a minivan mom. Rick Riganese spent a lot of time explaining all of the options on the Odyssey, focused on my specific needs in a car and took me on the best test drive that I have ever had - got to experience the van on highway, back roads, turns, bumps and even got to practice parking. There was no pressure and no rush to get me in and out. Chris, the manager, made looking at my Accord trade painless and offered me a good value. The General Manager, Tom took the time to make sure that the payments would work and took a genuine interest in my purchase. Even signing all the paperwork was stress-free. Everyone was just so polite and professional. I love my new car and would recommend them to anyone! More

Them ( Don't go here for service. I brought my car in on Sunday. They make a BIG DEAL that their service department is open on the weekend. Them (Adam): you need new brakes, But, we don't have the parts today. Me: You don't have Honda brakes at a Honda dealership? Them: No, but I will be here working Monday and I will take care of it for you then. Me: Uh, ok, then fix it Monday. So, on Monday, I call and ask for Adam to see how its going. He's not working today. Sigh. So I start all over again and repeat the story to someone else. Good thing I called and didn't assume they were going to work on it LIKE THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO. He calls around for parts and calls me back. Them: Uh, can't get one of the parts (caliper) until Tuesday at the earliest. None of the dealers have it. Me: So, NONE of the HONDA dealers have a caliper for a HONDA? Them: No Sigh. So, I decide to call other repair places. First place I called said they had all the parts needed for a brake job on site right now. I go up there, the car is done in 3 hours. For $300 less than the price that Herb Chambers was quoting. And the best part is, one of the reasons that it was cheaper is I DIDN'T NEED THE CALIPER TO BE REPLACED AT ALL. I missed half a day's work because of their nonsense. But I did save some money. Incompetent or unethical. Don't know which, but not going back either way. More
This dealer is not honest to customers. Sales people and managers do not have good professional training. Attitudes very bad. On top of that, that prices are way too high than competitors $1500 more for a managers do not have good professional training. Attitudes very bad. On top of that, that prices are way too high than competitors $1500 more for a small car, while they claim providing the best prices. It's sad to see this company does not server its community well. In the end, local customers do business with non-local dealers. More
From the moment my husband and I walked in and simply asked "what's your best price on the Honda Odessey" (we had already done our research and had been to other dealers) to the moment we drove away in o asked "what's your best price on the Honda Odessey" (we had already done our research and had been to other dealers) to the moment we drove away in our new vehicle, Rick couldn't have been any more professional, courteous, honest, and enjoyable to do business with!! He was accomodating with all appointments we made with him, extremely thorough in going over everything and again, just a pleasant man who made our decision to deal with Herb Chambers over Boch an easy one!!! He is an asset to Herb Chambers of Westborough! And we thank him!! More

Ugh, what a disappointment. I stopped in to research/test drive/hopefully start to get an idea about potential '09 CR-V inventory. I arrived at approximately 5:15PM on a Saturday (the sales fl research/test drive/hopefully start to get an idea about potential '09 CR-V inventory. I arrived at approximately 5:15PM on a Saturday (the sales floor closes at 9PM) - walked in just behind a couple who were immediately matched with a salesperson. When the receptionist paged for a second salesperson to assist me, no one initially came to the front. A salesperson walked nearby and the receptionist called out to him, saying, "David, do you have a moment to help this guest?" - he obliged. Without doing a full blow-by-blow, suffice it to say that I was made to feel oddly unwelcome at points, given this salesman's impending party plans after work. Once we did a quick walk around the car and started the test drive, David noted that his 50th birthday had been the week prior, and he had "sort of been hiding", and was leery of taking on a new customer at that hour, given the fact that he and his wife were hosting a big card game/party at their house a bit later that evening, and that he -had- to leave right at 6. Wow. David then launched right into a strange backpedal - he must have thought better of his rather rude comments (not exactly welcoming, considering the fact that I walked in knowing precisely which car, and even which trim level were of interest!!!) He specifically asked me to not mention that whole "card party thing" to his Manager, as he wouldn't want him to take it the wrong way, or to think that (this guy) was rushing a customer through their visit to the dealership. I attempted to break the wild awkwardness of the moment by joking that it sounded as if he hadn't invited his Manager to the card party, which he had most certainly had not! I told him that I wouldn't tell his Manager, but would just get in touch with Herb Chambers himself instead. HA! I was kidding, of course, but now in retrospect, perhaps I should! The real fun began when we were back and I had asked about specific current inventory in my preferred trim level, to see if there were any current incentives, and also to run some hypothetical #s, to get a sense for pricing. David did the typical, "Hmm, let me go talk to my Manager" song and dance and then left me at his desk for what felt like EONS (so much for him being in a big rush to leave??!) Upon his return, he handed me a worksheet full of numbers based on their 'Invoice Price', their 'Minimum Required Profit' (umm....) and then a wildly high monthly payment, even though I had noted that we would be paying a minimum of 20% down. I realize that they can't get specific without checking our credit, but these 'potential monthly payments' were very high indeed and a great way to get people to walk right out the door and down to Bernardi. He then handed me a quarter sheet of scrap paper and 'invited me' to jot down as many #s as possible while he sat there staring down the process. Has he never heard of a xerox machine? I certainly didn't appreciate the whole sense that David was somehow letting me in on privileged information, and things got even more pressure-tactic-ridden when I noted that it seemed that it would be helpful to return when he had more time and when the Business office could run #s based on our credit, so that we could then make an informed decision between one trim level and perhaps upgrading our purchase to the next trim level higher. He flatly noted that this wasn't possible unless we had designated a car as our car of choice, at which point (and only at said point) 'they' would initiate purchase paperwork. Um, WHAT?!?! As if things couldn't get more fun, at 6:10PM, when I was leaving David's desk area, he said, "Oh, did you hear that?" and retrieved a cell phone from his pocket, looked down and said, "Yup, it's my wife, making sure that I have left for home!" As if he hadn't repelled me enough by that point... I realize that my experience of feeling so unwelcome/rushed may have been entirely different with another salesperson -- but such poor behavior should absolutely be noted. David's behavior when it came time to crunch some #s, which was unrelated to his schedule and more indicative of his slimy approach in general, was utterly unappealing and a throwback to times that I had hoped were long GONE. See you later, Herb Chambers... More
I really felt very uncomfortable with this dealership. The amount of pressure that they put on you is unbelievable. They try so hard to get you to make a decision that very moment. My husband and I coul The amount of pressure that they put on you is unbelievable. They try so hard to get you to make a decision that very moment. My husband and I could not get through to them that this was our very first day car shopping and that no matter what they did, that we weren't going to be buying a car that day. They just didn't understand that someone would have to think about the decision to purchase such a large item overnight and discuss it with their spouse. Also, they kept trying to bargin with my husband and ignored me when they knew the car was for me and my husband kept telling me that he wasn't the final decision maker, I was. I would be very hesitant to go back here again. I left feeling very uncomfortable and couldn't wait to get out of there. I purchased my Honda elsewhere where I was treated with respect. More
