We first met Rich when I took our first car in for a routin oil change. He was very helpful in advicing us about buying a used car for my wife without imposing anything specific on us. We made notes on our conversation and went back a few weeks later and true to his advice, Rich helped us pick out a great car. During the entire buying and decision making process, he was extremely patient when responding to our questions, and also spent a great deal of time walking up and down with us multiple times into the car lot as we went about looking for that "one car". In the end, we ended up buying a great looking pre-owned 2006 Honda Civic LX with a lot of goodies thrown in such as "all new tires and wipers", "re-conditioned discs", and "new front brake pads". A couple of weeks later, he called us to follow up on how the car was doing, and offered to help in addressing any issues that may have risen thus far. This is something that I appreciate very much in a sales executive(like Rich). While most salespeople lose touch with their customers after the "selling" is done, he actually took the trouble of following up with us about our entire ownership experience. Each time my friends WOW the car we bought, I have made it a point to tell them to call "Rich Merlino" at Herb Chambers of Westborough. Not only does he makes buying cars a great experience, but makes sure that it transforms into a great ownership experience as well. More
The dealership was very busy when I purchased my new vehicle, and I had to come back the next day. Last Sunday my husband and I took my 86 year old mother on an informational outing to look at several small, economically priced cars for her use. The lease on her Honda Pilot is expiring, and since my father's death last year and her move to a senior community in Marlborough, she no longer needs a large SUV for transportation. We stopped at a Toyota dealership where my mother test drove a Corolla. Our plan was to visit a Honda dealership next, followed by Ford. The receptionist at your Honda dealership very courteously greeted us, and paged a salesperson, Rich Merlino. Rich did an outstanding job of helping my mother articulate her new transportation needs, and cost constraints, making her feel confident and fully involved in the selection process. He then recommended a Honda Civic and took her on a stress-free (for my mother!) test drive. He was extremely patient and kind in showing her how to operate the controls on the car, pointing out features and asking her opinion. She loved the car, and felt very comfortable making the decision to forgo the visit to Ford, and purchase the Civic. Fortunately, there was a car on the lot with the right options and color. We returned on Tuesday to pick up the car, and once again, Rich gave us his undivided attention and was especially attentive to my mother, patiently answering and even anticipating her questions, This is one of the most pleasant shopping experiences we've ever had, and we're all very happy that we happened to stop by on a day when Rich was working and at a time when he was available. We will give Rich and your dealership an unqualified recommendation to anyone who asks. More
I was met by Norm Methe and had a great tour of the car I wanted. Test drove it. Norm was extremely helpful and because of his efforts IO decided to purchase the 2008 Honda that day. We were orginally interested in Fit. For the time being while talking with Mr. Merlino, he described the pros and cons of Fit and Civic so that we could recoganise how Civic would fit to our needs.
