Purchased a new 2012 Honda Civic LX from Herb Chambers Honda in Westborough. The salesman we worked with was Ricardo. He gave the right amount of attention and did not make us feel pressured or anxious during the process. His coworkers and manager were also extremely helpful and friendly - which leads me to believe that they will take care of us in the future. I was able to get a good price on both the trade-in as well as the new car. Very reasonable salesman and dealership. We will look to do business with them again. More
I'm not usually the type to write reviews - but I feel it's necessary to give credit when credit's due. When I purchased my Accord New in 2010, I purchased an extended service "Tire & Wheel Guarantee" whi it's necessary to give credit when credit's due. When I purchased my Accord New in 2010, I purchased an extended service "Tire & Wheel Guarantee" which was designed to cover the tires against road hazards and the wheels against cosmetic damage caused by normal wear and tear. When I experienced a slow leaking tire, I brought the vehicle into the dealership to begin the process of filing a claim to see if it would be covered under the plan, and also noticed that my wheels had some cosmetic damage that needed to be addressed as well. Cindy, Tony & Don all helped to coordinate the services required, to make sure everything happened quickly, minimizing the inconvenience to me. They kept Rich, the service Director in the loop on everything, and he was also very helpful! Considering that I paid nothing out of pocket for all the services performed on my car, everyone was extremely attentive and considerate. I'm usually the type who stays away from dealership service departments because in general, car dealers don't have the best reputation, but I would happily recommend that friends & family bring their vehicles in to Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough for service! We knew what we wanted and had done a lot of research on the Honda Pilot. The primary reason we purchased with Herb chambers of westborough was Price. Its over a 30 mile ride for us. We have another dealer 7 mile from home - price was the only fActor that brought us here That being said - the first part of the process went well we were given a price that we liked and agreed on a deal. Easy right? We brought our own Financing to the table. The finance dept was apparently distressed with this and couldn't understand why would we not finance with Honda. They questioned why again and again and seemed quite upset with us. We agree to wait while they located the vehicle and brought it in for us. We set a date with the sales Person that we all agreed on 630 pm on a Wednesday night. We spoke to the finance department on 2 differnt occasions and again to the salesperson to see if they needed anything more to complete the deal and we were told, each time, that we were all set and we would be driving home that Wednesday night our new car. Well, at 4:15 pm that Wednesday night, the sales person called us telling us that unless we got there by 5pm we could not take the car and would have to return for it the following day because their registry department was only open til 5pm. They would not register or Title it until it was paid in full. Funny how this never came up when we asked if we needed to do anything. We all agreed on the 6:30pm appointment. I truly believe this was all because we didn't finance with Honda. If we had, it would have been been registered and ready to go. I can accept the mistake of the sales person - she stated she was new to this dealer. BUT IT WAS ONLY COMPOUNDED WHEN THE DEALERSHIP RELENTED IN THE DEMAND THAT WE ARRIVE BY 5PM. WHEN I TOLD THEM THEY COULD KEEP THE CAR - THEY WERE SUDDENTLY ABLE TO STAFF THE REGISTRY DEPARTMENT UNTIL 6PM. THIS ONLY HAPPENED AFTER 3 PHONE CALLS AND A CLEAR EXPLANATION THAT WE WOULD EASILY AND HAPPILY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THIS WAS CLEARY A mANGMENT DISICION TO TELL ME TO COME IN THE NEXT DAY - BECAUSE IT WAS EASIER FOR THEM. I SHOULD NEVER HAD TO KNOW THERE WAS ANY PROBLEM THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST ASKED THE OFFICE STAFF TO STAY AND TOLD THERE SALES REP NOT TO MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN. INSTEAD, THEY CHOSE TO CONVENIENCE ME. IN DOING SO - THEY TOOK ALL THE FUN OUT OF PICKING UP OUR NEW CAR AND GAVE US A PROBLEM TO REMEMEMBER THANKS HERB CHAMBERS More
