I question Herb Chambers Mission Statement. I bought my I question Herb Chambers Mission Statement. I bought my 2005 Dodge Caravan at Herb Chamber in Danvers and had it serviced there for 5 years. Recently I question Herb Chambers Mission Statement. I bought my 2005 Dodge Caravan at Herb Chamber in Danvers and had it serviced there for 5 years. Recently the check engine light came on, so I brought the Caravan in for service. I dropped it off 9:00AM they had the vehicle all day but stated they fixed the Evap hose cost $59.95. A few days later the check engine light came on, I took it to a local repair shop and they came up with the same code and advised me to bring it back and have them do a “smoke test” on it. When I call and requested the repairs be corrected I was told a smoke test was already performed which later was found not to have been done. When I brought the vehicle back and the necessary test was done the issue was the gas tank needed to be replaced, cost $1235.00. Two days later the caravan is fixed. That night it is repaired it breaks down on Rt 93 at 9:30PM and is leaking gas with my wife and children in it. Well I have it towed back to the dealership. The next morning I call and unfortunately the tow company dropped it off at the Herb Chamber Chevy dealership across the street and not the Dodge and the service depart requires me to call tow company and have it deliver to correct dealer. After voicing my dissatisfaction I have the tow company deliver it. The dealership agrees to pay for a rental for my inconvenience for one day and the towing after I brought it up. Two hours later they call saying the caravan is fixed. No cost. Now the 7 year 70,000 mile warranty is good till June 2012 but the van has little over 74,000 miles which renders the warranty invalid. Now the service department wants me to believe that their poor service and inability to fix the issue correct the first time is not the problem it is just the wear and tear on the parts. So it must be Dodge quality. A Evap hose takes 9 hours to fix, Gas tank replaced 2 days but leak in gas tank when dealer paying for rental 2 hours. HHHMMM? Which leaves me with: 1) Not buying a Dodge in the future 2) Definitely not buying or servicing any vehicle from Herb Chambers Brian Frost More
On Monday, Jan 25, 2011 upon driving to work my 2007 Dodge Charger began to overheat, the temperature gauge shot up and stayed on high. I shut the car off, then restarted and was able to drive directly to the Herb Chambers Dodge in Danvers on Route 114. Dave Wilson was highly professional and immediately took the car in to be looked at. The whole service team was completely thorough and the problem was diagnosed and corrected. The car seems to be running better than ever! It was an overall great experience and I would recommend this service department to anyone. More
David Wilson has been a joy to work with the many times I have come in for service on my 2004 Town and Country. I trust his recommendations for the work that I need to have done. David recommended that I drive it for a few more days to see if the light would go out since I was not having any problems with the car. I had to bring the car back in as the light did not go out. It was found that the catalytic converter was failing. David made all the arrangements to have the converter and sensors changed the next day. He explained my options so that I could make a sensible choice. He was great and I would highly recommend him to all people I know looking for a service advisor. More

I purchased a certified pre owned Jeep Commander at this dealership in Jan 2008, my experience with the sales staff went well, there were a few glitches but nothing that concerned me at the time. I used thier service department for my regular oil changes and other concerns, each time I went back I must say different things came up that began to concern me about the car and the service. just before the 4th of July, I had a problem with the pistons in my jeep, service was set up and I brought it in to be fixed. Already I must admit I was concerned with this kind of service being need on my "certified car" but I was glad they wer taking care of it, seeing I had taken a extended warranty. I picked up the car the next day and drove to New hampshire, long enough to know it had not been serviced correctly. On top of this the car had been returned to me dirtier than whwen I dropped it off, I was not happy. On the 3rd of July I had to bring it back and was lucky enough that Dave Wilson was the only person left working in service. My car was immediately taken in , I was brought a rental to use for the weekend, and every concern was heard by David and I was assured it would be taken care of. When I returned 3 days later, my car was immaculate, it had been serviced correctly and the car fax I had asked multiple employees for over the past 18 mos was there.
