I came recently to purchase a new 2010 5 series. Given that 2011 models are starting to come out, I figured I could find a great value. These guys gave me a huge run around. In addition they played lots of "games" around price which soured me on the whole car buying experience. I am constantly buying new vehicles and this experience was by far the best. From Evan and Brian in vehicle information to my product specialist Peter, to Chris, the manager. The whole experience with this dealer was terrible!!! Customer service was non-existent (until after I walked out). I was attempting to purchase my vehicle (2007 BMW 328xi) as it is coming off lease in Customer service was non-existent (until after I walked out). I was attempting to purchase my vehicle (2007 BMW 328xi) as it is coming off lease in the next 30 days. I wanted to have the vehicle certified (go through the BMW CPO process) so that I could take advantage of extending the warranty coverage as well as favorable financing. This dealer originally gave me pricing which was approximately $3,000 higher than a competing dealer. Furthermore this dealer stated that at the pricing that they originally proposed "they were all-in" and could not go one penny lower without losing money. Once they were informed of what the competing dealer was offering all of the sudden their pricing dropped in excess of $3,000 to make their deal $50 cheaper. I stated that I needed a day or two to make a decision, and the folks at BMW of Sudbury responded by saying that I had to make a decision right there and then (talk about high-pressure sales!!!). To make the situation worse, these folks had the audacity to call the competing dealer. I'm not sure what the purpose of such a phone call could be...was it an attempt to price-fix??? In any case, given that I was forced to make a decision right there on the spot, I chose to leave and weigh my options. A couple days later I received a phone call from the GM stating that they would have a difficult time honoring their offer and that if I was willing to pay "several hundred dollars more" we could figure something out. The whole experience left me very dissatisfied and with a bad taste. More importantly I was worried because I negotiated so hard on pricing, it was possible that this dealership would take shortcuts in certifying my vehicle. I can honestly say that their CPO inventory did not look nearly as nice as the CPO inventory at the competing dealership. How do these folks do business this way??? Needless to say they will not be seeing any from me. More
I first met Kosta Pappas when he was working at a different dealership. It took me a while to locate him again, but was extremely happy when I did. I bought my 328xi from BMW Sudbury. I was very pleased with the pricing and blown away by the facility and the terrific service. My wife and I already had 2 BMWs purchased from Foreign Motors West in Natick, MA, the 2007 335xi purchased (I think) just before Herb Chambers Motorcars took over the dealership and the 2008 328xi just af Motors West in Natick, MA, the 2007 335xi purchased (I think) just before Herb Chambers Motorcars took over the dealership and the 2008 328xi just after. When the dealership built their new quarters in Sudbury, we naturally moved with them. On a routine service visit about 2 months ago, I happened to be sitting enjoying a cappuccino at about 7:15 AM waiting for my car when a fellow came by, white dress shirt with the shirt sleeves folded back and tie loosened. I asked if he was a salesman to which he replied "I'm the General Manager". (Even better, I thought!) His name is Kosta Pappas. I was idly curious about what was new, but with no real intent at the time. My car was completely paid off and had only about 28,000 miles on the odometer. He was most pleasant to speak with, and no pressure at all. Maybe it was because neither of us was properly caffeinated yet?! We e-mailed back and forth several times over the course of a few weeks. I had dropped by the dealership once or twice and Kosta invariably made time to chat in spite of his responsibilities running the dealership. It was immediately like talking with a old friend - not something you typically find in an auto dealership, especially one selling the higher end vehicles. After a short time, he introduced me to a salesman, John Maker, with whom I have developed what I would call a business friendship. He is knowledgeable, friendly, thorough, funny and very helpful. John worked with me, and never pushed. Perhaps he knew I was hooked, but never once did he give any impression of overconfidence of the sale. I congratulate both Kosta and John for their patience with my endless e-mail badgering about the status of the car,...did it really have the Harmon Kardon stereo because the BMW web site doesn't say it does, and so on and so on. They always responded with good humor and honesty. I took delivery of the car yesterday, and I have not stopped smiling yet! When we transferred the license plates and my old BMW plate frames, John even went so far as to fetch black touch-up paint to repair the cracked paint on the plate frame, recommended and used his own stock of stainless steel plate screws, and made sure everything was perfect. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I would say a dramatic improvement over the previous management philosophy (although our previous salesman at Foreign Motors West from whom we bought our previous cars, now a (Herb Chambers) Land Rover salesman , is also a great guy). As far as I'm concerned, and with the benevolence of greater powers (my employer and higher), we will continue to give our business to BMW of Sudbury. I've been fortunate to attend a few BMW events held by the dealership, and I've met Herb Chambers. Nice guy! Herb clearly knows what he's doing, knows how to manage and motivate his managers and sales force, and the results are obvious. From my experiences, I'm confident you'd do well here, and drive away happy. More

I looked online and found what i was looking for. then I called and spoke with Sara she was informative, honest and plasent. when i went to dealer ship she introduced me to Joe , I was getting ready for the high pressure sales approach but was I in for surprise. again professional, knowledgeable, carring. what is the world coming to? is this a car dealership? Joe introduced me to Kosta general manger who made me feel very comfortable told me if Iever need any thing and Joe not around I can call him directly.
