We were stuck on the side of the road and this was the closest dealer. We were told our original diagnosis was $455. Ok fine wouldn’t cost that much anywhere else but we didn’t want to mess with having ou closest dealer. We were told our original diagnosis was $455. Ok fine wouldn’t cost that much anywhere else but we didn’t want to mess with having our truck towed. After it was fixed, we received a call saying our radiator was spewing fluid and had to be fixed. So we were 1 1/2 hrs away and took their word for it. We were told total was $2200. Well...long story short, after speaking with a manager (who was absolutely the nicest) we got our price down since we didn’t actually have to have everything they charged us for. (Battery clean (2), the radiator was leaking not spewing and a fuel filter) however, it really sucks when we told our diesel mechanic what was fixed and come to find out it should have cost about 1/4 of what we paid. This is why I have never and will never use a dealership for service. Now we will never know if there really was a leak in the radiator or not but we have a new one!! It cost more than 4 plane tickets. But the manager we spoke with was extremely nice and I hate giving a bad review but the price was extremely high. More
