I bought a truck there in less than an hour after I arrived, after the salesman, Kevin Swindall, gave me details about the truck. Lied about availability of a car I called the dealership and spoke with Walter Sanders about test driving a Ford Expedition. He said the car was available and I could come look at it I called the dealership and spoke with Walter Sanders about test driving a Ford Expedition. He said the car was available and I could come look at it that afternoon. I said I would be there in 30 minutes(Monday). I got there and the car was in the body shop. He said that he didn't know and that it had just been taken in, I find that hard to believe, but took him at his word. I expressed interest, we worked out a price/deal on my trade, and i communicated that as soon as the car was drivable, I would like to test drive an complete purchase. It was promised to be ready the next day(Tuesday). I called in the next day and Walt said it wasn't ready and would be ready the following day(Wednesday). I called that day and he said it would actually be late Thursday maybe even Friday. I was annoyed, but agreed because I thought it meant they were carefully reconditioning. An hour later he called back asking me to put a deposit on the car without ever driving it, and that someone else was interested. I said that I didn't understand how that would work, knowing that I'd want to be able to get that back if the car drove poorly, or had more problems that I couldn't see in my short time on the lot Monday. But reiterated that I was committed and would consider that if that was my only option. He said he would talk to his manager and lobby for me and get back to me. I emailed that afternoon to check in and he didn't respond. I called Thursday and checked in on our conversation from the day before and he informed the car was sold. Needless to say I'm frustrated, and would expect a better customer service from someone who had been talking to me for a week. I don't think I should have had to buy the car without driving it, when in my first conversation they promised the car would be available. More
