On April 4, 2025, I purchased a 2023 Tesla Model Y from Hendrick Volvo in Charleston. The vehicle was advertised online as including two “Included Options”: the Full Self Driving (FSD) package—valued at $1 Hendrick Volvo in Charleston. The vehicle was advertised online as including two “Included Options”: the Full Self Driving (FSD) package—valued at $12,000 in 2023—and a white interior, valued at $1000. Both features were listed on the window sticker as well. The white interior is in the vehicle. After the sale, I discovered that the FSD package was not actually installed. When I raised this with the dealership, they claimed the listing referred only to the vehicle’s computer hardware, not the FSD software. However, Tesla’s own documentation makes clear that FSD is not included by default with the hardware—it must be purchased outright which was the $12,000 option to which they refer or subscribed to monthly. The presence of the correct hardware alone does not activate the FSD feature. The dealership also suggested that even if the original owner had purchased FSD, it would not transfer to a new owner. This is also factually incorrect. Tesla’s policy states that if FSD was purchased with the vehicle (not via subscription), it remains with the car and transfers to subsequent owners. To be clear, this is not a case of buyer’s remorse or dissatisfaction with the vehicle itself. I am not seeking to return the car. My concern is with the dealership’s failure to deliver a feature that was clearly advertised and materially influenced my decision to purchase the vehicle at the listed price. Despite providing documentation showing the advertised features, the dealership has declined to honor the representation or offer a resolution. I’m sharing this experience to help others make informed decisions and to encourage transparency in vehicle advertising. More

Taking a vehicle to get serviced or repaired is never something that is top on one’s list but using Hendrick Volvo for service and repairs is as easy as it gets. Bryce Salyers has been wonderful to have something that is top on one’s list but using Hendrick Volvo for service and repairs is as easy as it gets. Bryce Salyers has been wonderful to have as a service advisor, ten years and three Volvos worth of experience allows for this comment. Travis Bailey has always been there to provide the needed shop support to get me back on the road. Lastly, having Brian ready to get the car into the shop and provide uplifting comments to brighten the day is a plus. The service department keeps me in a Volvo. More
Bryce did a great job explaining. But it took the shop more than 2 hours for tire rotation and lube,oil,filter, etc. which seems like a long time.
