I always dread new car shopping .. However this time for the first time it was for my Daughter so it made things a little easier. She really liked the CX 5's but had no idea she would be getting a new one. With her Birthday right behind Christmas I decided to bite the bullet and just get her a new car. We didnt do this just for the looks and appearance, but mainly for the reliability since she would be heading out to college in a couple years. We went to a couple other dealerships to look at CX 5's but ended back up at Hendrick iat Mall of GA for a 2nd time. That is when we were introduced to Sonya. We knew what we were looking for but Sonya Chung did a great job in narrowing down the specifics, showing us the inventory and educating us on the difference of the CX 5's. Being in Sales and Management for over 20 years I can get a good read on people on the way they act and conduct themselves on both sides of the sales game. I can tell if they are just giving a song and dance for their $$ or if they really truley care about what they are doing..Sonya was personable, very out going and always ready to help in any fashion possible. We had a set price and negotiated for a couple of hours. In the end we got what we wanted and were ready to give this new car to my daughter on Christmas Eve. Sonya even went the extra mile and let us keep the car on the lot (Which we bought 30 days earlier) and personaly delivered it to our house on Christmas eve. Now thats service... Wasted my time! Bad experience! I will tell everyone anytime a car discussion comes up. Word of mouth is the best advertising - especially NEGATIVE comments. The overall experience was excellent. Sonya went a long way toward keeping us there after the car we had originally looked at turned out not to be available. Stay away from this dealership! I worked with Travis, in sales, who lured me in there under false pretenses. He told me he definitely had a buyer for my car, as they aren't making it anymore, but miraculou sales, who lured me in there under false pretenses. He told me he definitely had a buyer for my car, as they aren't making it anymore, but miraculously at the last minute the buyer changed his mind. He is VERY inexperienced and only a kid. Armon, is the finance person. He is extremely rude and uppity. He did NOT provide me with any copies of the paperwork I signed but insisted I took them with me. He lied to me about the gap insurance and has a way of explaining without fully explaining anything. No one at the dealership returns calls and places all the blame on the customer. Bad business practices!!!!! More
I purchased a car from Hendrick Mazda Mall of Georgia about 3 weeks ago. Being a recent college graduate, this was my first big purchase. Also, she never made me feel pressured and answered all my questions thoroughly. The staff was very friendly, as well. Overall, the experience was excellent. Sonya and Theresa did a great job making me feel important for about 3 hours. Chaz was good too but I had to bust out a picture of my son to get us into the end zone. We went for test drive and he continued to explain the features in great depth. No pressure first meeting. He wanted to make sure we loved this vehicle. Advised him we were looking around. Advised him that unless we received a fair trade value for our car we would not consider this dealership further. He made sure we brought our car in when the manager was there who evaluated the car. The dealership also offered to give me the cx5 for the day just to drive it around and be sure. We were offered exactly what we wanted on the trade (actually a little more). He told me all the books they use, black book, blue book etc to get the value and of course the condition of the car. We went for a second test drive with Eldin and he answered all of our additional questions and were sold on the vehicle. He also gave us the option of test driving it by ourselves. Now time for the negotiations. We advised If we could not make a deal we would go to another dealership. Eldin was awesome and he came in with the price we wanted to pay. This was actually a very good smooth transaction since I am usually so stressed out buying a car. We did great with the interest rate. Eldin sent an awesome thank you note for buying the car from him. He also is available for any questions that I have in the future. I feel that Eldin and Mazda Mall of Ga went out of their way for me to have a great experience buying this car! More
Both Amanda and Sonya were just so courteous and friendly over the phone. We were planning to purchase this vehicle in Georgia despite our living in St. Augustine, FL. We got to meet the management at Hendrick Auto in Atlanta, as they had an exhibit booth at the AARP convention this past month. They held seminars during the day, had some nice cars on display, and were just so good to talk to, and very candid and honest. The deal fell through as we thought we would get the end of month Mazda incentive ($2,000 cash back) plus 0% financing on the balance (after we would sell our current car). But there was a misunderstanding and this was not the case. I believe it was an honest misunderstanding and was not to mislead the customer. So given we would not get the deal, it became less attractive to go through the expense of traveling to Georgia for the car. They did offer that someone would drive it to us, but we didn't desire that option. They did all they could do win our business. More
