Mark Buchanan's heart for his cutomers is a lost art. We thought this type of service was non-existent. We have dealerships in our town, but chose this dealership simply because of Mark's willingness to pu thought this type of service was non-existent. I took my 2008 Honda Fit into the dealership to have (2) recalls taken care of. I was greeted very quick by Mark Sutton, with a smile on his face. We were very tired from our drive from Chattanooga to the dealership. It was worth it because of the efficient work given by this dealership. The only problem I have is my extended warranty can only be done 300 miles away from where I live now.I think if you buy the warranty from a Honda dealership it should be taken care of at any Honda dealership. Next, my phone call to the dealership was answered by a friendly, professional receptionist who referred me to James Conley, salesman. He responded to my questions about the 2008 Certified Honda and confirmed that he would wait for me -- I had to drive 1 1/2 hours to test drive the vehicle. I arrived at 8:15pm. The price had been reduced, the picture on the internet was beautiful and worth the drive. James met me with an easy smile and walked me to this Belize Pearl Blue sensational 2008 Honda Accord V-6 loaded with a navigation system; leather interior; awesome sound system; HandsFreeLink phone; Maintenance Minder; Zagat restaurant guide; heated driver seat; lumbar support; power seat and windows; a DVD to guide me through all of the necessary set up. Being a previous owner of two Honda Accords, 1990 and 1998, I was still surprised and gratified by the smooth ride, comfort, and the amazing technology. Keep in mind I had done my homework by checking the CarFax and VIN number and price of this vehicle within a 250 mile radius. Everything was fact based. By 9:30pm I had driven the car and we began the paperwork. Exhausted, I asked if we could finish the paperwork the following morning. James asked the receptionist to call a nearby hotel, make my reservation and then drove ahead to make sure I got there safely. The following morning I returned to the dealership in my rental car and finished the paperwork. The burden of returning my rental car and getting my "new" car home began to overwhelm me. However, James made arrangements to drive my "new" car to my home the following day in order to alleviate any further anxieties from my mind. I drove the 1 1/2 hour back to Indian Trail a very satisfied customer. The next morning James drove my "new" car into my driveway. Now that's service above and beyond any expectation. I highly recommend Honda Cars of Hickory! More
We just purchased our third Honda from Hendricks since 2004. We like the way Hendricks treats their customers. We have never had a bad experience there. Beyond a Bad Experience!! I drove an hour and a half from Charlotte with price and trade agreement in hand only to be met with the classic squeeze, bait-and-switch tactics. This, after I emptied my entire car, including two children's car seats, and loaded everything into the new car. The sales person I dealt with over the phone guaranteed me that nothing would change once I arrived. Then, the New Car Sales Manager tried to reduce the agreed upon trade-in amount by three thousand dollars at the last minute, claiming that due to gas prices my car (2009 Sequoia) would be too hard to sell. What they don't realize is that it is going to cost them much more than three thousand dollars in lost business after I review and report them to Honda, TrueCar.com, and every other online site I can find. I received this service from New Car Sales Manager, Bryan Messick. Good news is, I returned to Charlotte and received a better deal anyway. More

There are numerous dealers in our area, Columbia, SC, to purchase vehicles from but we prefer to drive the 120 miles to purchase from Hickory Cars due to the quality of vehicles, nice people and the outstanding manner in which you are treated. We purchased our first car from Jay Brown and had planned to deal with him again but he was in a meeting so we had the priviledge of dealing with Aaron Shade. Both Jay and Aaron are first class and do not push you into something you are not interested in doing. The manager, unfortunately I can not recall his name, was also extremely nice and willing to work with us until we were satisfied. After agreeing to the purchase, we completed our transaction with Grace, who was just like the rest of the folks there-- extremely friendly, most knowledgeable and very, very helpful in explaining in detail all options with our purchase. We are extremely pleased with the quality of both vehicles we purchased from them. You owe it to yourself to give these folks a chance at your next vehicle purchase. More
