This was my third visit to Honda with a noise when driving at excess speeds in my 2009 Honda Civic. From the minute I drove into the service department I was treated with a kind, caring and a profess driving at excess speeds in my 2009 Honda Civic. From the minute I drove into the service department I was treated with a kind, caring and a professional attitude. Darryl Watson kept me informed and never in the dark about where in the process my car was at throughout the morning. The lady at the desk gave me some marvelous cookies as I had not had breakfast. The coffee was exceptional and I enjoyed a few cups! The technician,"Kou" , would not quit until he found my problem and even had a master technician go with him on the road to diagnosis the cars problem. After 2 previous attempts, Kou found the problem!. The reason I travel to Hickory and not the 4.2 miles from my home to the other Honda Dealership is directly because of folks like Darryl and Kou. I buy all my Civics from Hendrick Honda and love the service and the kind,caring, professional attitude. Many, many thanks! Great Job!! More
I just want to point out that it is possible that I leased a lemon and that the original dealership I got my car from was so awesome that it didn't matter that my car wasn't perfect. Carolina and went to Hendrick Honda to get acquainted with the dealership and have my car serviced. I wanted to build a relationship with this dealership because my car is a lease and I wanted to already be in contact prior to the new lease I was hoping to sign next year. My first visit was pleasant to say the least, I mean I didn't feel a connection if it had been a date I would have snuck out the back window in the bathroom. The second visit is when the fun started my lease began in April of 2011 and in Jan of 2012 I had a lot of service issues come up. I needed to have fluids flushed, switched, drained and changed I expected that on a car, but when I returned 3 months later I needed tires, then breaks, and now my power steering is making noises. I've never had a car that needed this much work done prior to 50,000 miles. I've had cars that didn't require this much effort at 80,000 miles. What bothered me was the way the service department has handled these issues, no real explanations on these issue just general statements, the tires are soft rubber, breaks run out quickly on new cars now. Before I said this is not the home dealership where my car was leased, but they are unable to tell me anything about my warranty it is a standard warranty. My power steering problem is because of low fluid, I had my oil changed 2 weeks ago they said they check and fill all fluids. If that is true then I have a leak wouldn't there be evidence of this? Some one under my car would of seen this evidence while they were changing my oil. Why did no one tell me anything? They haven't had trouble to tell me of issues in the past. I was going to have my car looked at but I checked my fluids myself and they were low in several key places but not my oil. I have never been please with Hendrick Honda and I'm on the cusp of the decision that I never will be. I will be going to Boone in the future and when it is time to renew my lease I will gladly drive back down to SC where my business was not only wanted but appreciated. More
Brought my wife's 2009 CRV, purchased elsewhere, in for service, and were blown away by the friendliness and willingness to go above and beyond. My wife work the 7 PM to 7 AM shift, so usually takes ca for service, and were blown away by the friendliness and willingness to go above and beyond. My wife work the 7 PM to 7 AM shift, so usually takes car in after getting off work. They go out of their way to get it done quickly so she can get home to bed. When there has been any delay they have offered a loaner, or had the courtesy shuttle take her home, 40 miles. We also recently bought our daughter a 2003 Accord, and they have shown the same type of service. More

We were in the market for a pre-owned vehicle that was in high demand. Finding the make and model we wanted was very difficult. What was even more difficult was when we finally found a couple, they were no w high demand. Finding the make and model we wanted was very difficult. What was even more difficult was when we finally found a couple, they were no where close to the dealership we were at. After driving 1.5 hours ourself having a car brought in from 2 hours away was not ideal just to test drive it. However, we had been shopping for quite a while so when we realized what we wanted was not in our price range we adjuste our price expectations and found a vehicle. This one was not at the lot either, but we had very specific ideas of what we wanted and assumed that a certified pre-owned vehicle was going to be satisfactory based on preowned certified standars. We purchased this vehicle based on photos we had seen online, which of course was not smart in retrospect. This was Saturday and it was delivered to our home on Monday evening. It was dark when it arrived so we didn't get a good look until the next day. You can imagine how dissapointed we were when we finally got to look. The carpet was stained horribly and the leather seats had been "dyed" some off color to cover up obvious wear and tear and blue stains. There was candly melted everwhere, in every nook and cranny. The seats looked like they had been sprayed in milk and soda. Crumbs where in every crevice. The smell was mild but awful, until you turned the heat on and then it made it hard to sit in. Further inspection revealed dead cockroaches under the floor mats. We called the dealership and voiced concerns. We were invited back and had the vehicle cleaned by the detail shop and after about 4 hours they were finally done, but they had yet again cut corners because the majority of the time was spent taking the dye off the seats. The only thing I can imagine is that they began steam cleaning the seats and the dye started coming off so they had no choice. We were told they did not dye at this dealership and it must have been done at the other. Again after four hours it smelled better and looked good enough to get out of there. Again we get the vehicle home and discover that quite a bit of the ground in mess and litter between the seats and crevices had been looked over. Sounds unbelievable right? We took pictures. We took a set when we first got the vehicle and again when it got back from being "detailed". Just to clarify the amount of filth that was presented in this vehicle was aged and obviously the previous owner. Looking at some of this your first thought would be, that didn't happen in a week or two. We won't be back, ever. We paid kbb value for a certified pre-owned vehicle and got a filthy poor interior condition vehicle. Not only did this dealership sell a vehicle they had never seen and fail to provide adequate assistance when it was substandard, they robbed us of the new car feel. One of the most enticing things about getting new car is the feel. For those of us who may never drive one off the lot brand new, we need better. But we signed papers and the money got to them. Now our monthly payment is a reminder of what we bought and what we actually recieved. More

We needed to replace a car that was totaled in a wreck and after a phone call and speaking with Mel we went to Hendrick Honda to view the car that was for our daughter. We were so pleased with the proffe and after a phone call and speaking with Mel we went to Hendrick Honda to view the car that was for our daughter. We were so pleased with the proffessionalism and felt that Mel truely wanted us to be happy with our selection with no high pressure sales. Mel ensured all of our questions were answered and really went the extra mile in coordinating with our daughter's schedule due to her being active duty. We also interacted with Brad and felt very confident in our decision to purchase from Hendrick Honda. We will definately refer our friends and family to the Hendrick Honda in Hickory over the Charlotte dealerships we visited because the level of service and personnel far exceeded the major Charlotte area! Within 30 seconds of walking in the door, Mark Buchanan was there to take me to his office. We talked a little bit about why I was interested in purchasing a new vehicle. After a couple minutes of talking, he recommended the 2012 Civic. I testdrove it within 5 minutes, and it was perfect. All of the other staff members at Hendrick Honda Hickory were great, as well. I had visited several dealerships in a 1 hour radius of Hickory and each time the sales people tried to talk me into buying what they had on their lot instead of what I wanted. I contacted Mark at Honda o Hickory and each time the sales people tried to talk me into buying what they had on their lot instead of what I wanted. I contacted Mark at Honda of Hickory and within a short time, I had the color (exterior and interior), accessories, and the price we could both live with. The actual transaction was quick and no problems. Love my new Pilot. More
