Dear Ricard R. My name is Pete and I am the General Manager of the rental department. Please accept my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience we caused as it is our goal to never disappoint a client. On the contrary it is our mission to provide you with a 5 star experience and exceed your expectations. After reading your review on Yelp under Richard R and in DealerRater under the name “The Fonzie” (I am a Happy Days fan as well) I took it upon myself to investigate the incident involving the mats as I remember Cesar bringing it to my attention before he re-rented the vehicle to another customer that the 2 rear mats were missing. I am the one that suggested he call you to simply find out if the mats were left out as sometimes renters will remove them if there was a spill or they became extremely soiled. I can assure you that It was never his intention to lead you to believe he was accusing you of anything. Cesar resigned months ago but I called him today at his current job just to discuss this incident. He assured me that he was just following my instructions to give you a call. If the mats had been left out somewhere we would have retrieved them, if they were never there (which was probably the case) I would just have ordered another set and I can assure you I would have never charged you for them. If you believe you were charged a late fee please contact me directly at 305-364-9800 extension 2800 so I can investigate and correct any mistake. I will be back in the office on 9/20/21 and would be happy to speak to you. It is my goal to make sure you drive away happy every time rent, buy or have your vehicle serviced here at Headquarter Toyota. I also would like to mention that the 2 associates you mentioned in your DealerRater review have nothing to do with the rental department.
