I wouldn't trust Joe Cotton for Warranty work This review is for service under warranty. I took my car to Joe Cotton for warranty work, and had the following experience: 1. They incorrectly to This review is for service under warranty. I took my car to Joe Cotton for warranty work, and had the following experience: 1. They incorrectly told me the work I was asking about wasn't covered under warranty until I produced the warranty myself. 2. Coincidentally, their initial diagnosis for the problem was to fix something that actually wasn't covered by warranty. 3. Finally they did the warranty work required to fix my problem after multiple trips to the shop and calls. The problem I had was straightforward, well known, easily reproducible. In the future I will avoid this place. More

Scratches on every panel of my truck, they took a chunk out of my door handle , nice dent in bed of truck which screwed up pin stripping, screwed up pin stripe on drivers side and best part didn't put trans shield on correctly after they fixed the trans. Regret for even buying a 2nd truck from this dealer. Service is the biggest joke. Couldn't fix a flat tire without computer telling them tire is flat. Go to drop truck off today to hopefully get things fix and yeah a sedan will not work for a guy who buys a truck. Not missing camping trip since someone thought a sedan was a good idea. So once again trashed truck and wasted time. Moral of this if u want to fight every time to have vehicle serviced, want parts fallen off your vehicles and vehicle trashed go see this dealer. To avoid headaches and taken time off work to deal with issues find another dealer. Dave Malloy the so called service manager called today for update. They will not be fixing my truck even though they damaged it and to find another dealer for service. xxxxxxxx service advisor cried that i was mean to him. Man up grab a tissue. More
Don't trust the maintenance warranty or the finance salesguy When we purchased our 2013 Edge the Finance director guaranteed us that we would get a brake job included in our purchase of the maintenance warranty. When we purchased our 2013 Edge the Finance director guaranteed us that we would get a brake job included in our purchase of the maintenance warranty. I took the edge there for every maintenance visit and when my warranty expired at 76K miles they told me they would not replace brakes under warranty bc they weren't worn down enough. I called the finance manager to discuss and all he could say is that I must be a light breaker. The warranty was a huge waste of money and the finance salesman dishonest. We will never buy another vehicle from Joe Cotton. More

After maintaining our car with them the entire time, the transmission in our 2013 Fusion goes out under the 5 YR but 3,000 miles over the 60,000 mile warranty. Do they help us? No, we have to spend hours on the phone with customer service trying to avoid paying $5,100 for a new transmission! Finally, Ford care offers to pay a small portion of it, but that was only since they were price gauging anyway - local mechanic charges $2,500. They also charged me $125 diagnostic fee to tell me this. Really? You can't diagnose a car that you sold me that is essentially a defective product? (NO ONE has a car that drops a transmission that has been properly cared for/maintained with only 63,000 miles!) Oh -- and the cherry on top? We had it in before the warranty was expired for a fuel system issue. They didn't diagnose and repair it properly, so now they want another $400 to fix that. Save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere - then, go to the mom and pop mechanic to have things repaired. More

You would normally visit a dealership for auto repairs or to purchase a vehicle but Joe Cotton Ford also has an Auto Body Repair Shop and a great one at that!! Their repair service department coordinated the repairs needed on my Lincoln Navigator directly with State Farm without needing my assistance, as they are an approved repair shop with State Farm. Anyone that has had the pleasure of dealing with getting insurance estimates, finding approved repair shops and coordinating the scheduling, drop off and pickup, knows it is a time consuming pain in the neck. All of this was done by the Joe Cotton staff! I can't express how wonderful it is to have all of this taken care of for me and the repair work done on my truck is perfect! If you are in need of an auto body repair shop, look no further than Joe Cotton Ford!! More

Not thorough mechanics, used car manager was rude Bought a used car, the car had transmission issues, we later found out that it had double the transmission fluid in it. The OBDII port gave us two transmission error codes as a result of the excess transmission fluid. They said they changed all the fluids, it's not typical to change the transmission fluid, but the oil was at 30% life remaining and they didn't even change that. They didn't even detail the car for us once we were buying it. We paid cash and it took VERY VERY long to complete the transaction. Half the time we were waiting at the sales man desk. When confronting Joe Cotton Ford about the transmission issues, the used car sales manager was very rude and did nothing to try to make us happy customers. Told us to go to a chevy dealership. After buying the car, we were told two days later to come back because they did something wrong with the car's title. More
Appointments mean nothing Called June 16th and got appointment for June 30th at 7:30a. Arrived on time and was told it would Be $110 for them to look at the car (already knew it was a defective throttle body sensor). Asked how long they would need it and was told "all day". Called to check at 3:00p and was told it wasn't in the garage yet would likely be the next day before they could get to it, then they would have to order parts so may be another day after that. Had read several poor reviews regarding the service department and was hesitant going in. Poor management and lack of reasonable communication, decided to take the car to a different dealer. One star reputation is well earned. More
