Harr Toyota responded

Hi John, I spoke with our Service Manager about this situation. He explained to me that the inside of the reflector was broken in your headlight. Instead of simply replacing the bulb and having an expensive bulb blow a short time later, we wanted to give you your options. It is unfortunate to hear of how you view your experience but I assure you that we do not do business as you are suggesting. The man you had spoken with on the phone was Charlie Lahti and he can be reached at 508-595-3340. I apologize for your frustration and I hope we are able to change your opinion of us in the future!

Nice try but you have a long list of complaints with the Attorney General’s Office so not buying this one bit. I had always heard that Harr had this shady reputation and didn’t want to believe it until happened to me. My “expensive bulb” hasn’t burnt out and it was not presented to me as an “option”; it was that it was necessary to have a new bulb work. That turned out to be a fabrication as the other dealer said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the assembly. People who read this – stay away from these people as they will try to charge you for expensive things you likely won’t need.
