It hasn't sold yet but I know I will be and ended up with a great Honda Accord. He was so patient and delivered the right amount of force I needed. It hasn't sold yet but I know I will be back to work with only John Crider. He has the patience, knowledge and is the complete package. We bought a 2010 Honda Odyssey from Robert III last weekend. He showed us a couple different Odysseys’. He was knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. We drove up from Louisville because Indy had a weekend. He showed us a couple different Odysseys’. He was knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. We drove up from Louisville because Indy had a better selection then Louisville. It wasn't hard to find out why Terry Lee has gotten the President’s award 3 years running. Everyone was nice and helpful. Thank you again Robert & Terry Lee Honda for all the help you gave us. P.S. The service department was great as well. More
I would absolutely NOT recommend this dealership. There is absolutely no customer service whatsoever. I was promised calls, emails, etc., and eventually I entirely gave up. I drove to an entirely out of is absolutely no customer service whatsoever. I was promised calls, emails, etc., and eventually I entirely gave up. I drove to an entirely out of the way dealership where they KNOW how to take care of people and offer absolutely grade A customer service no matter how difficult the customer's situation is. At NO point in time should a customer every be told to let their trade be voluntarily repo'd so that they can get a loan without the trade in! I've purchased a couple vehicles in my day and this was the absolute worst experience dealing with a dealership that I've ever had! More
Noel Brooks is awesome! We stopped in recently and were looking in the back at the new 2012 CR-V's that just came in and were approached by Noel Brooks. The next day my wife happily drove off with their f looking in the back at the new 2012 CR-V's that just came in and were approached by Noel Brooks. The next day my wife happily drove off with their first sale of the new 2012 CR-V! Everyone there was great! No gimmicks, no games, straight talk, great deal on our trade, and even a nice price for the new hot suv she got! Rico was courteous and professional in the finance office, and the manager Ingar was great too! We referred a friend within a week who bought from them and Noel and she was a raving fan as well. This is the opposite of Andy Mohr and those types of dealerships! Two Thumbs Up! More
I am terribly disappointed in Terry Lee Honda. My husband e-mailed area dealers to see who had the best deal. We got a good e-mail response from Scott Clugston at Terry Lee. We drove the 45 minutes to visit e-mailed area dealers to see who had the best deal. We got a good e-mail response from Scott Clugston at Terry Lee. We drove the 45 minutes to visit the dealership and it turns out we were very mislead after many conversations on the phone. First of all they showed a faulty history report on our trade in car and not until after we called our insurance agency in front of them did they pull another report through carfax which turned up clean. When my husband sat down to review the price of the car he gave us a quote which was $600 higher than the number he e-mailed us the day before. We brought it to his attention and conveniently he said it was a mistake. Scott then proceeded to offer us $2000 less than the quote he gave us for our trade-in over the phone and when my husband pointed this out he said this was the best he could do. We are extremely upset that we tried to get an honest number before we drove all the way out there, yet, when we got there he changed his story and gave us a price $2500 more than we discussed. The whole experience from beginning to end was plain dishonesty from the dealer. More
This is clearly the best Honda dealership in Indiana, probably in the U.S. I usually do not write reviews and be very upbeat about it, but Terry Lee did prove to be a great dealership. I was in touch wit probably in the U.S. I usually do not write reviews and be very upbeat about it, but Terry Lee did prove to be a great dealership. I was in touch with John Crider who was the salesperson, and he was a gentleman. No pressuring, always listening and most importantly on the side of the customer. They were committed to having me as a customer and did everything from giving me a great deal on my new car to a fantastic deal on my used car. I was very pleased and impressed. No waiting around! In a couple of hours, I drove home a new Honda! More
If I had to think of one word that describes Terry Lee Honda it would be incompetence. I purchased a re-certified 2005 Honda Civic, 4 door. Where do I begin? I talked with Sales Associate Brian Schme Honda it would be incompetence. I purchased a re-certified 2005 Honda Civic, 4 door. Where do I begin? I talked with Sales Associate Brian Schmeltzer. He was very friendly and quite helpful. He understood my situation, didn't try to sell me extras and gave me a no haggle price. That was the good part of the experience. Now for where all the trouble begin. I came in close to the end of the month in September to make this purchase. I told them what I was looking for and they didn't have quite the vehicle in the price range I was looking for. However, they did recently get a 2005 Honda Civic EX recently on a trade in, that had not been inspected, cleaned up or anything. Brian gave me a rough price of $11k. I told him I was interested. Later in part of the negotiations, we established that the vehicle would re-certified with Honda's 150 point re-certification program and have a 12,000 mile extended bumper to bumper warranty. This is where things started to get a little shady. I told them to let me know when they got the car into re-certified shape so that I could take it for a test drive and decide whether to purchase it or not. Reasonable request right? This is the condition it should be in on the lot if I were to purchase it off the lot. I kept getting pressure from the sales department to put a $500 deposit down with an intent to purhcase which I balked at. I said no, get the car in shape, we'll take it for a test drive and if it's all good I'll buy the car. They agreed. They partially cleaned up the car, flushed the transmission, put new tires on it and did a brake job. The car was washed, the interior partially cleaned and it was in shape to do a test drive. Immediately upon inspection of the vehicle, I noticed several things wrong. Chrome plating was coming off one of the door handles, the floor mats were stained, there were some significant scratches on the car. There was no owners manual, no jack. The maintenance light was on. It looked to me like they were only partially through the re-certification process but the sales department was rushing the service department to get the vehicle ready and it obviously wasn't ready or fully inspected. We took the car for a test drive, it drove very well so I decided to purchase it with the condition of the we owe and we negotiated a final price. Immediately upon taking the car home, I realized the power locks did not work correctly. I also did not receive documentation for the re-certification or the carfax report that I was told I would receive. Back to the dealership numerous times to get all of these problems resolved, each time having more problems. The problem I think that infuriated me was an issue with the floor mats. Based on the Honda re-certification checklist, any floor mats that have significant damage or spots should be replaced. I brought the passenger side floor mat in and showed them dark spots. They said no problem we'll clean it. I gave them the floor mat. When I came by in the morning to pick it up, no one could locate the floor mat. At this point, I was upset. They said they would locate it when Brian came in and I could come in after work to get it. I come in after work, they hand me the floor mat, it still has stains on it like it hadn't been cleaned at all. I spoke with Todd, the manager, he took it back in the service department and cleaned it himself. To me, that's complete and utter incompetence. Much of my time was wasted because Terry Lee Honda couldn't do what they should have done in the first place based on the Honda Certified Program that they are required to follow to sell a vehicle in this class. That's not where it ends. I received a telephone call from Brian Schmeltzer a week ago informing me that my owner's manual came in. I asked for it to be mailed which was not a problem. I called today (a week later) after not having received the owner's manual. It hadn't been mailed and I was told it would be mailed to day. The bottom line with Terry Lee Honda is this, based on my experience you will get a fair price and friendly employees, what you won't get is follow-through. You will have to babysit their staff because they are completely and utterly incompetent and apparently incapable of keeping track of their workload to make sure they deliver you what they promised. My advice is, if you don't want to go through a lot of hassle, choose a different dealership. If you want a good price and are willing to deal with the hassle and frustration, Terry Lee Honda might be a reasonable choice. More
