I just came in looking, not really too interested in buying anything but then I met Matt. He was a cut above all salesman I have ever met. He answered all of my questions, no high pressure sales tact buying anything but then I met Matt. He was a cut above all salesman I have ever met. Was told by manager th Do not purchase or service a vehicle here. I purchased my Dodge Ram on October 2nd, 2021 from harbor Nissan in Port Charlotte. Was told by manager that they’d be willing to work a deal on vehicle as I’m driving and hour and half to see it. To say the least, this caught my attention and went the next day. Drive the truck only couple miles and loved it. Went back to sign papers with Jordan and spoke to manager about the end of month deal and said they are not willing to honor that and full price is all they will accept. Not to mention dealer fees and a $1500 reconditioning fee (not even oil change or break pads replaced) I loved the truck, so went through with it and Jordan assured me it went through a 700 point check up to justify fee. On October 6th my check engine light came on and I called the dealer. They told me bring by and they will scan it and waive fee since It hasn’t even been a week. I drop the vehicle off and now my sales contact is telling me manager refuses to waive the $150 fee to scan it, even after I told him what the service rep said. All in all it came out to be $64 for gas cap ($24 for the part and $30 for them to turn it three clicks) to get the car to be compliant. They did waive the fee upon pickup. After looking up the non tethered gas cap, it’s an aftermarket gates that is on Carid.com for $3.91. After starting truck after pickup, it now seemed to whine like starter was going, I’ll be sure to take to dodge dealer to do the work. Won’t be back and I can only recommend go to another dealer even if it’s one down the street. Once you sign the papers they have their hands already on your wallet. Hope this saves the next person from making my same mistake. I’m convinced a lot of reviews here are not legitimate as the BBB has then at 1 star out of 5 and 14 complaints in three years regarding product quality. Thanks for reading More
