A rainy day that turned into sunshine for this couple. This entire experience was so good that we are still kind of feeling fuzzy-no kidding. We came to your dealership having been told of a friend's exper This entire experience was so good that we are still kind of feeling fuzzy-no kidding. We came to your dealership having been told of a friend's experience in his purchase of one of your cars. He had bought a Rogue and his brother a van. It had been over 20 years since we bought a new car. Our last one was in 2008 and that car was a gift from a member of the family. You know the running joke is that all car salesman are pushy and just want your money. Well, not so at this dealership. First off was the great impression we received when we arrived in a storm of rain. The salesman we had been referred to wasn't working that day but the receptionist called him at home to see if he would come in and meet with us. We were already telling her not to bother him at home when she confides that he "always comes in ". She woke him up and he actually spoke with us explaining he had worked 16 days in a row and was very tired. He then asked us to let one of his friends and coworkers, Aaron Kennedy help us. ( I have to insert here that we were impressed that he was such a dedicated worker-come on, who works that many days in a row unless they like the company and their job.) It wasn't but a few moments and Aaron Kennedy appeared and took us to his work area. He was very upfront; after asking my husband of his ideas and interests he carefully explained that we did not qualify for the discount price we had been interested in using. We were not students and not military. We talked of the price, haggled some and took the car for a test drive. The car was nice, but we both thought something wasn't a "fit" for us so I suggested we test drive a Rogue. I think we both knew from the time the car went down the road we were hooked. Understand, this was not something we had been contemplating much-our present vehicle is fine and has less than 80,00 miles. But the Rogue S was such a grand car. The color-cayenne red, caught our eyes. The size of the vehicle was nice and roomy. The car was comfortable in front and back seats. the interior was so pretty in the two tones. You could tell this car was made well. It was quiet on the road and my husband could feel the power of the engine . It had everything we were looking for, but could we come to an agreeable set of terms. Aaron introduced us to Alex Bowermaster, one of the finance people and the art of the deal began. It really didn't take long for all of us to reach a decision. Next came Brigett Hilston, who helped us with the insurance, tag transfer and title work. This woman was so patient with the people who she spoke with on the phone-we were impressed once again. she wasn't just professional, she was kind and as we spoke to her of our upcoming vacation she told us that where we were traveling to was near where she was born-in Alabama. Now you will laugh, but we are Christians and I had prayed for some kind of sign that this was the right thing to do because in truth, I was not ready to take on a car payment. ( perhaps because I have been spoiled by the gift 8 years earlier) When she began to share her remembrance of places, of places that we had already intended on seeing...I had chills and such a feeling of peace. That to me, was the first sign that we had found our car. Then when Alex was going thru his "pile" of paperwork with us, we talked some of dogs and come to find out he has a Yorkie named Buster.. ( my sister has two Yorkies ) yes, that was my second sign we were indeed meant to buy this car. The manager introduced himself and thanked us for coming out to even look at cars on such a day. He took the time to meet and greet. Another salesman spoke with us while we were walking around the showroom as they prepared the cars for a test drive. He too was sincere and very nice-also informative. The entire experience was very enjoyable. When you are treated with respect, common courtesy, and genuine kindness, it really makes such a difference. Thru the entire process everyone reassured us they wanted us to be satisfied and happy with our purchase. There was no pushy attitude, no hurried pace. They let us make up our own minds and they stepped away for moments to let us confer with each other. We want everyone to know that we are happy with our purchase, would buy from them again at Harbor Nissan and that we look forward to our oil changes. All in all, it was quite a day and to the guys-from me personally, so you can have a good laugh...I have already washed and waxed our Rogue. Oh yes, we named it Clint-after Clint Eastwood. She made a fair offer on the sale price. We got a big head start by getting the documents needed sent in text. Gene Gerald called me to confirm the finance and talk about my trade. By the day I came to see the vehicle, everything was ready. After seeing my trade, they gave me a fair price. There was no "I'll have to go check with my manager" game. In about an hour and a half we were driving away in my new truck. More
